For what it’s worth, here is Matt Meyer’s Facebook profile picture wearing the same shirt. It reads “Keep Teachers in Berkeley.” Sadly, it says nothing about keeping families in Berkeley.

Congratulations BUSD (Brentwood, CA) for offering at least partial in-person instruction to families! Great leadership. It can be done.

You can hear this mom’s uncontrollable tears when the board voted 5-0 unexpectedly approving the new plan.

It’s worth noting the union led survey said only 30% of Brentwood, CA teachers wanted to come back, but the district survey one week later found a whopping 80% of teachers wanted to return!

Here is the full explanation from this mother. Brentwood is just south of Oakley. Recent events there and such a large involvement from the community seemed to have persuaded the BUSD board.

BREAKING: Oakley, CA school board members caught on tape mocking parents who desperately need their kids back in the classroom.

“Are we alone?” one says. “Bitch, if you’re going to call me out, I’m going to f*** you up!” Another adds, “They want their babysitters back.”
