I've kept out of the Great State Debate until now, but COME ON.
Hilary's position was: "that MIGHT be a Nazi symbol. But you know what's DEFINITELY true? Yesterday. US Rep. Paul Gosar spoke at an event staged by Holocaust Denier Nick Fuentes™. Today, CPAC let him speak anyway."
And people responded to THAT by calling her a Nazi?
Hey, y'all, instead of debating the stage, we really COULD be talking about actual literal undeniable fascist shit happening right across the street from CPAC.
Here are some choice quotes from Holocaust Denier Nick Fuentes™:
After the El Paso shooting, Fuentes said: "The easiest way for Mexicans to not get shot and killed in Walmart is for them to not fucking be here."
Fuentes believes that Jewish billionaires are bringing Hispanic immigrants into America and "promoting vice," which is: 1) the heart of the "white genocide" lie and 2) classic Nazi propaganda.
Here, he makes this claim about REPUBLICAN megadonor Sheldon Adelson:
"But Origins," you say, "that message originally came from Michelle Malkin's channel."
So what? Would YOU put that shit out linked to your name if you didn't believe it? Of course not.
But fine, let's pause to drill down on his views.
Here he writes, "Let them mourn Sheldon Adelson in Israel. He was no 'American' hero. He wasn’t even American as far as I’m concerned."
(I'll be using the full text of all these tweets, BTW, bc I sincerely hope Fuentes will be permabanned at some point.)
... hm. OK, I guess I'll be using the full text of SOME of these tweets. But here's a screenshot, making my claim technically correct -- the BEST kind of correct.
Here, Fuentes advances the Great Replacement lie once again -- what he's getting at is that there's a master plan to dilute the white race by bringing in brown immigrants.
Of course, white nationalist rhetoric often CLAIMS to be *ethno*nationalist...
where they're not racist, they just want non-whites to keep to THEMSELVES.
So they tend to admire Japan.
Japan, they think, IS an ethnostate & therefore somehow a paradise (they say this even while, at least on the chans, they also use terms like NEETs and hikikkomori).
Thus:
Let me wrap this up with some raw, uncut Fuentes from Telegram, where he:
1) whines that a streamer got him kicked off of Twitch; 2) calls the streamer a "f*g liberal";
And 3) tells the streamer to "get red pilled, bitch."
The next post on his channel goes: don't be negative!
Anyway, my original point was: Hilary was 100% right.
A sitting GOP Congressman *just spoke at an event put on by the man whose statements and worldviews I have just shown you.*
Then he walked across the street to CPAC to speak there... *about immigration.*
That's real.
UPDATE: Aaaaaaaaaaand of course there was a typo in the first post, which should have said Great Stage Debate.
EVERY TIME, MAN! Every time.

This is MTG as she truly is: a serial fabulist, deeply insecure--the type of person who described herself as a "Public figure" in a bio *long* before she really was one
And deeply, deeply into conspiracy theories before she got into Q.
Once she *was* following Q, she was DEEP into the lore. I've talked a bit lately about the centrality of Obama / North Korea in Q's early storyline.
Here she is writing in 6/2018. This is a committed follower.
But QAnon isn't the most notable thing about Taylor-Greene. Fascism is.
Her desire to simply reshape reality to fit the claims of one man -- godlike, infallible -- who guides the Nation & its People as their only true representative -- is the ONLY thing missing from this piece.
Here, a 4chan LARPer explains their thought process:
LARPers (or, as this anon of course had to claim, actual insiders who wanted to leak) "want you to take us seriously," so "we try to be super thorough and legitimize our credibility via accuracy."
2/4 But "I think some people try to give too precise of a timeframe which can bite them in the ass, but only because /pol/ demands it. This is why I try not to back myself into narrow timeframes and specific dates" -- because even if you DID have legit info, the news cycle...
3/4 ... would make it hard to know in advance when your Definitely Real Information would be publicly reported.
"But Origins," you say, "how do you know this is a LARPer and not a real leaker?"
Well, mostly I'm playin' the odds, but PARTLY I'm reading the rest of their posts.
Remember how South Dakota's attorney general killed a man in a hit-and-run? Reporter @AJZionts has interrogation tapes. WILD to see the mix of kid-gloves treatment & standard interrogation tactics here.
P.S. Read *past* the part where it says he was reading conspiracy-theory BS.
Would highly recommend you read that whole thread, but at the VERY LEAST get down to post 34. (Yes, you may scoff and go "WHO HAS TIME?", but... read at least that far. Just trust me on this.)
OH, THIS IS SOME BULLSHIT.
He was charged with *three misdemeanors????*
THE VICTIM'S FACE WAS THRU HIS GODDAMNED WINDSHIELD. HE WAS ON THE PHONE READING SOME KIND OF BIDEN-CHINA CONSPIRACY THEORY WHEN HE HIT THE VICTIM, WHO WAS ON THE SHOULDER, NOT THE ROAD ITSELF.
So! Speaking of Christians who love shofars *and* QAnon...
@JosiahBisbee slid into my DMs (which I encourage ALL experts to do when their knowledge is even QUASI-relevant!) and patiently explained -- using very small words -- *why* QAnon appeals so strongly to "Messianic Jews":
This strain of Christianity (and some strains of charismatic Xtianity that also emphasize Jewish practices, I gather) "attracts people really trying to understand the New Testament in light of its first century Jewish context." Why does that make it mesh so well with QAnon? Well:
QAnon is, of course, an *apocalyptic* religion. And so was early Christianity.
In fact, many "Messianic Jews" (and other, I guess you'd call them, Judaism-focused charismatic Christians) pursue that form of faith because they are, per Bisbee, "attracted to 'end times' ideas."
Last December, I wrote "'THIS revolution would NEVER devour its children!' A thread for Republican elected officials."
To prove my point -- that the base *really does want to kill* elected Republicans for not being Trumpy enough -- I attached lots of rhetoric JUST like MTG's.
Oh, maybe it was a BIT more violent. This one was a much more direct threat, for example.
EVERYONE asks this when they encounter Q-related content.
The thing is, it's not really a question of *intellectual belief*. It's about group dynamics -- if the price of *unbelief* is being booted out of a group that gives your life meaning, you'll do what it takes to stay in.
