In 1899 King Umberto I of Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น sent an expeditious to China ๐Ÿฒ to establish an Italian coaling station in the Bay of San Mun, near Ningpo south of the Chusan islands. Britain & Germany didnโ€™t want the competition & when China said โ€œNoโ€, Italy had to back down. Cont..๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป
Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น did have a legation in Peking but when Rome backed down this encouraged the anti-foreign element in China to defy all the foreigners in the country. The result was the horrific Boxer Rebellion & the 55-day siege of the foreign legation in Peking. Cont..๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป
Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น sent 2 warships & 2,500 troops to take part in the 8-Nation Alliance in 1900 to rescue their people in Peking and suppress the Boxers. In the aftermath, Italy received a greater concession in China, in Tientsin on September 7, 1901. After WW1 Italy gained the Austrian ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป
concession as well. It served as base for the Italian Legion โ€œRedentaโ€ who were sent to aid the Whites against the Bolsheviks in the Russian Civil War. Their name was because the legion was made up of Italians from the โ€œunredeemedโ€ areas previously under Austro-Hungarian rule.๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป
The Tientsin concession remained under Italian ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น control into WW2. In 1943 the Japanese ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต occupied the area during the confusion following the dismissal of Mussolini. At the time there were only 600 Italian soldiers in the garrison, taken prisoner by the Japanese. Cont..๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป
After the Italian Social Republic ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น was established, Italy agreed to hand over the concession to the Reformed Government of the Republic of China ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ผ led by Wang Jingwei, who was allied with the Japanese. This effectively ended Italyโ€™s presence in China.

There is no need for the current antagonism toward Russia. We have never fought a war against Russia, have no shared border or territorial disputes with Russia & no vital interests in conflict. Here is a brief rundown on Russian-American relations: ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
During the American War for Independence, Empress Catherine the Great of Russia played an important part. She organized the League of Armed Neutrality which prevented sympathetic European powers from assisting the British against the Americans. ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
During the American Civil War the Russian Imperial Navy wintered in American ports. With Britain & France ill-disposed toward Russia & not very friendly with the USA, this was to be prepared for foreign intervention leading to a wider war w/ Russia & USA allied. ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

The British๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Crusader tank had relatively thin army & not much hitting power (early units were outgunned by the Italian M13/40) but itโ€™s Christie suspension & up to 42kmh top speed still made it quite a handful for the Axis forces in North Africa to deal with.
The British๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Cromwell tank likewise wasnโ€™t the most armored vehicle around but it had the Christie suspension & a fantastic engine that made it nimble, maneuverable & astoundingly fast. It had a 75mm gun that was more than a match for all but the heaviest German panzers.
The British๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Matilda II was an infantry support tank so it was made to go slow, which was fine and it wasnโ€™t the most heavily armed with its 2pdr 40mm gun. However, her impressive armor protection, up to 78mm in places, compensated, making her a very tough tank to kill.

The original Fascist League of North America was established by Dino Bigongiari, Professor of Italian at Columbia University. It was not a very professional operation but was initiated by Italian-Americans, not the fascist government in Rome. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
In 1924 Count Ignazio Thaon di Revel came to reorganize the FLNA. The count took central control as President of the Fascist Council for the FLNA which stood for opposition to radicalism, chiefly instigated by the Bolsheviks and their supporters in America. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น
The FLNA attracted criticism from liberals, leftists and even other Italian-American groups, such as the Sons of Italy, condemned the organization. This threatened to damage U.S.-Italy relations particularly when politicians began calling for a Congressional investigation.
