My intention to write about Sithunywa is not to offend those with Sithunywa but to clarify exactly what is Isithunywa, so that even the future generations will not be lost but wlll have a clear understanding of what they are in.
I once wrote about different spirits that are working in Traditional healers(Tinyanga/NeTangoma) & Isithunywa is one of them but Isithunywa is new in traditional healers, it was only working after the time of colonization. After the whites have brought religion to Africa in
the form of Christianity to eradicate African culture completely. They were met with resistance from converting Traditional healers into Christianity & all those who loved their culture so much. Some of our traditional healers were not comfortable in leaving everything &
follow the new religion though they were very interested to be part of the religious set up. Traditional churches were started which will accommodate such people who were culture fanatics. I dont want to mention those churches by name because I'm not into offending the members
but they know themselves. These churches are available in all communities of Africans. It was in those churches where they came with the new spirit called Isithunywa. Isithunywa is & was the very same spirits working in traditional healers eg Abalozi,
especially in the churches where they used drums (isigubhu) when they worship. You can also find Umndawe, Umnguni, Inzuzu etc working as Isithunywa. Those who were called to work in those traditional spirits as i have mentioned, some were afraid to operate in church with those
spirits as they were told that those spirits are evil. In most of the churches where they operate with Isithunywa, they consider the other spirits as evil as they were told by the colonizers.😪😢 The bible is referring to Sangomas and Tinyanga as evil people,😪😢
so one with such spirits was not accomodated in church. Such ancient spirits of Bunyanga & Bungoma were then converted to be Isithunywa so that it can be practiced in the church. There were people who were capable to convert the spirits into being Isithunywa once you have been
identified that you are supose to be Inyanga/Sangoma (traditional healer). Once those spirits are converted then one will be accepted to practice in church as one with Isithunywa, he will be called a prophet or prophetess (Umthantazi/MaMthantazi).
Once they have converted the spirits into Isithunywa, they then use water & Isiwasho to heal people. Most of them uses water, candles, Isiwasho, wool, soil to heal people. They will emphasize that they dont touch muthi because they were told muthi is evil.
Some of them they dont even speak well about Traditional healers, they say they are evil yet they still use the same spirit, but it's that it has been converted. The purpose of Isithunywa was to destroy bunyanga/bungoma as it was seemed as a threat to colonization.
Fortunately that purpose was not fulfilled as Bunyanga/Bungoma will never be destroyed & will be with us forever, cos we were given by the Gods. The good thing is that some people with Isithunywa are now coming closer to bunyanga they no longer critisize & talk bad about bunyanga
as they used to do.
Some are now mixing Isithunywa with the other commonly known Spirits to heal. You found them healing with water, isiwasho, candles & also using muthi to heal. Atleast the gap between the normal traditional healers & those of Isithunywa are now closing
as they are starting to realise that they were deceived, after all, they are one, but there's still those of Isithunywa who looks at Traditional healers as evil people. The strategy of divide & rule was at work here to make those with Isithunywa to think they are better & holier
than the traditional healers, thus creating a tension where they will keep fighting one another. Europeans like to give certain privileges to few Africans so that they will be divided & end up fighting one another, one thinking he/she is better than the other.😪😢
Those with certain privileges will be the ones who will push the European agenda in converting the others to assimilate to the system. The other thing is, some of our traditional healers are now becoming lazy to learn about Muthi,
they resolute to also use Isiwasho to heal, they are buying from the Indian shops. The word Muthi/Mutsi refers to a tree, sometimes one can call a tree Umuthi/Umutsi. The bible itself has commanded people in Genesis to live by all the trees & eat from them.
But our people have now considered trees (Umutsi/Umuthi) as evil. I'm sure it is impossible to live without a tree(Umutsi/Umuthi) because most of what we eat is from a tree, including vegetables, fruits are also part of tree(Umutsi/tree). Those roots that we eat eg carrots,
beetroot, sweet potatoes, potatoes etc are also part of umuthi. Before, beetroot was only used for medication. Some people, when you talk of umuthi, to them it's evil because all that comes in their language is considered evil.
in order to make them drink it, you dont need to says its Umutsi/Imbita/Imbiza but you need to say its herbs. Call it in English so that it will sound European because all that comes in English is holy to them😪😢 It's mental sickness to say you dont use muthi.
In Siswati we have Umutsi(for healing) & Butsi(for causing evil to one) these things must be separated they must not be mixed. Evil people used(butsi) & good people used (Umuthi) to heal people. Those with Isithunywa when they die, the spirit will then possess their children
as ones with Isithunywa. The children will also operates in the same way as their parents. They will also operate in church, sometimes even be pastors in their own churches. I will write more about Muthi because the knowledge of Muthi is disappearing,
and our traditional healers are now buying Isiwasho from these Indian shops in town to heal people. They are lazy to go & dig muti. Those of Isithunywa used to go & find isiwasho in the bushes for themselves, not just going to Indian shops to buy isiwasho that is already mixed
and then claim you are a healer.😪😢

These are warriors who were killed while at war on mountains and in rivers. They usually used whistles to confuse the enemies into thinking there are birds around. It is at that moment that they would strike & kill their rivals/enemies.
This is why when someone has the abalozi spirit, they hear whistling birds or even someone talking directly into their ears. The abalozi spirit is rare & extremely proud. They will personally train the individual they have possessed. This person is proud, well presented,
disciplined & dedicated in all that they do.
They are also very clean & meticulous. Much like the proud warriors(imagine King Shaka Zulu & his family,-they were always well put together). When divining they don't use bones, they are guided by their intuition &
When your love life is daunting & friends are few.
When your colleagues become foe- leagues.
Your luck has finally run out.
Failure has become success turned upside down.
Uyisichitho in the making.
People can be very petty I tell you. Instead of upping their game & improving themselves they will use isichitho to lower you. Not that burning out your candle makes their candle burn brighter, but their candle will burn whilst yours is off.
What is isichitho you might ask…
I didn’t know either until I came to Cape Town. God, did I have sleepless nights scratching invisible insects crawling on my face. Isichitho is a human made curse to breakup your relationships or make you unattractive.😲
It is a known secret that in most cases when you consult a healer, 90% of the time it is established that your problems (witchcraft) is caused by close people. Such as your relatives, neighbours, friends, colleagues etc.😢😪😢
Premised on that, most people concluded that consulting is hogwash that turns you against people you love & having around.
But have we actually took time to define/decipher what witchcraft is? Have we established whether one needs to have knowledge of black science to actually
bewitch you?
The reason I am asking this is because we are quick to judge messages we receive or what we found out when we went to "check" ukuthi zikiphani.
Healers are not your language specialist to use the words you prefer.
Khona lokhu esingakutholi kahle singabe laphi 😒😒🤔. It doesn't necessarily mean I have to initiate/ ngikutwasise if I help you find your way in the spirit world or connect with your Ancestors.... These are the reasons why 👏👏
I can be a bridge for you to find uGobela/Initiator wakho no matter how deep our connection is, if there would be any problem you would know whom will help you without judgement & if you would get lost you would know whom to turn to....
If you are a healer or & initiate, please be brutally honest to yourself & those that surround you. So that you can heal people with the truth fully 👏👏 and and and.....
For me the most difficult & dangerous work as a Healer is River/Sea Cleansing. I fast to seek permission to take people for cleansing & operate in the Spiritual Realm to determine the mood & intervention of Abantu Abadala.🙏
It is energy draining as I am constantly in & out of trance during the week & I have to visit the Water Spirits everyday on the week of the cleansing.
There are many rituals & offerings I do prior to the actual cleansing, I also have to do Secheso (offering) on behalf of all
the people I am taking so that they come out alive & get the healing they so desire .
It is not every healer that is granted permission to cleanse people by the Sea/River. Some healers force matters then babe novalo to go in or even have casualties of drowning,
