According to Kaiser statistics, the amount of uninsured dropped from 46.9m in 2010 to 29.3m in 2020. That can be seen here: kff.org/other/state-in…
A further analysis of those figures show the non-group market only increased in size by 2.9m, Medicaid expanded by 12.1m, Medicare by 11m. Employer coverage, sparked by economic growth, added 9.9m to the insured count. 
More are insured, but predominantly from company plans (unrelated to ACA), Medicaid & Medicare (unrelated to ACA). Obamacare did reform the non-group markets but there's not even 3m more being covered. That's a declining figure with increasing premiums- which means DEATH SPIRAL.
While Romneycare was designed to STOP a DEATH SPIRAL in Mass. by bringing healthy ppl back into the non-group marketplace, Obamacare was designed to CAUSE a DEATH SPIRAL by bringing sick back into the non-group marketplace. This downward trend has been happening since 2016.
This shows that the best way to cover more people is to have a booming economy. Not only do people get coverage but there was tremendous wage growth in the mid to lower income groups.
