Four Principal Secretaries have been interdicted for failure to submit reports on the management of Covid-19 funds. This follows President Lazarus Chakwera's directive to have all heads of clusters on Covid-19 suspended for failure to submit financial reports.
Our impeccable sources indicate that the following Principal Secretaries have been affected; secretary for Labour, Dickson Chunga, secretary for Lands, Benard Sande, secretary for Transport Patrick Ndipita and secretary for Education, Chikondano Mussa.
Efforts to get a confirmation from each of the PSs proved futile as they all did not respond to our questionnaire and phone calls.
This new development follows the interdiction of all district commissioners and CEOs for 35 councils who received their interdiction letters last week alongside Principal secretary for local government and rural development, Charles Kalemba.
