WH: "President Biden was joined this afternoon by nine Democratic Senators for a virtual discussion on the next steps in passing the American Rescue Plan following the House’s vote on Saturday."

HR 1, "For The People's Act," 1st passed House in 2019 on 234-193 party line vote,but was never considered by GOP-led Senate & opposed by President Trump. Republicans call the bill "For The Politicians Act" and GOP leadership is whipping against it, urging its members to vote No.

Sanders announces today his plans to offer an amdt to $1.9T COVID-19 relief bill to raise minimum wage to $15,despite the parliamentarian's ruling: “I regard it as absurd that the parliamentarian, a Senate staffer elected by no one, can prevent a wage increase for 32M workers."
Sanders: "My own personal view is that the Senate should ignore the parliamentarian’s advice, which is wrong in a number of respects. I am not sure, however, that my view at this point is the majority view in the Democratic Caucus."
