Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert are part of a red wave that made history in the November elections. They are among the record-breaking 17 new female GOP lawmakers who were elected to Congress in November. feministgiant.com/p/a-white-supr…
"In 2020, all 15 of the seats Republicans flipped were won by a woman, a minority or a veteran," Conston writes. "Continuing to recruit similar candidates is a foundational building block to the majority in 2022." h/t @AlterEg14914630 axios.com/house-republic…
All but one of the new GOP female lawmakers are white. Many GOP women who flipped blue seats to red are not moderates nor are they interested in “unity” unless it is a unity w/fascism that Trump has unleashed w/their support
And GOP women understand the very specific role they play to maintain it. They are also learning that to succeed against the boys, they must outdo the boys in hate-- enter Greene and Boebert. feministgiant.com/p/a-white-supr…
Lawmakers like Greene and Boebert are emblematic of white women who undergird right-wing populism - as voters and candidates. Just because they are so fond of posing with weapons, don’t take a Glock as a stand-in for feminism. Two separate picture: on th...
The predictably-craven GOP leadership initially backed Greene & Boebert’s male GOP opponents because party leaders thought the 2 women were extremists who did not stand a chance in primaries. Just as they did with Trump. And when they won, the GOP embrace was swift.
The GOP has long been a party of white supremacy, misogyny, Islamophobia, and a host of other oppressions. A week before the elections Trump promised women in Michigan “We're gonna get your husbands back to work!” This during a pandemic that has been a fucking disaster for women.
But Trump et al understand it has been a fucking disaster that has disproportionately hurt Black and Indigenous and women of colour. Which is why it is important to remember the audacious innocence afforded to white womanhood feministgiant.com/p/white-women-…

Fed up as I am with the consistent refusal to take seriously the danger of white women like MT, I suggest you forget the Bechdel Test and follow my If so-and-so was a Muslim Test feministgiant.com/p/if-marjorie-…
My test holds up a mirror to hypocrisy by cutting through the fuckery that white women are allowed to commit.

e.g. If Amy Coney Barrett was a Muslim, her zealotry would have been pathologized, not earn her a lifetime post on the highest court in the land feministgiant.com/p/if-amy-coney…
If the white suburban women who drive the QAnon movement were Muslim, they would have been surveilled and profiled as “fanatics” and “extremists," visited by the FBI and asked if they knew anyone who celebrated the January 6 insurrection feministgiant.com/p/white-women-…
So, no, the GOP hasn't suddenly gone "feminist" because they want to "recruit" more women as candidates in a bid to retake the House in 2020. They're just openly saying what we know: white women benefit from white supremacy and want to keep it that way axios.com/house-republic…

There is a chapter on Power in The Seven Necessary Sins for Women and Girls in which I expand more on Footsoldiers of the Patriarchy. This essay from 2019 captures many of my points nytimes.com/2019/05/28/opi…
Feminism does not promise to support a woman simply because she is a woman. Is that woman a fellow feminist fighting to destroy patriarchy or is she a Footsoldier of the Patriarchy? feministgiant.com/p/essay-the-ju…
To demand I support a woman simply because she is a woman, with no regard to whether she upholds/works to destroy patriarchy, is to reduce feminism to a Sorority of Pinky Swears - a hollow & toothless mockery of goals of feminism, benefiting only those who benefit from patriarchy

Fuck off. And I am starting something. Fuck right off. I told Ruby that on Instagram when she tried to start something and she blocked me because she knows this is shit. So telling your too to fuck off
If anyone’s wondering what I’m responding to, here’s the deleted tweet Image
Ruby Hamad tried this shit with me on IG last month, when she said I should amplify the voices of women of colour and accused me of “drowning them out” and “appropriating” their work. And then she blocked me. I have the screenshots. And I’m posting them because this was public. ImageImageImage

#Australia: if your defence minister is the only one forced out after your attorney general & a male minister were accused of rape/sexual assault, then it will give more impetus to why I call women like Linda Reynolds Footsoldiers of the Patriarchy h/t @webbysweird
Here are some Footsoldiers of the Patriarchy on this side of the world that I've written about: feministgiant.com/p/a-white-supr…

- Having “thick skin” does not mean tolerating sexual assault.
- “Good government” does not require the freedom to sexually assault aides
- Fuck Democrats and fuck Republicans and anyone who defends sexual assault
Fuck these fuckers:

- Governor of NY: accused of sexual assault
- Attorney General of Australia: accused of rape
- Supreme Court justice in the USA: accused of sexual assault
- Interior Minister of France: accused of sexual assault
- VP of Zimbabwe: accused of sexual misconduct

After I explained to a club manager why I’d beaten up a man who sexually assaulted me, the manager looked at my Beloved and asked me “Why didn’t you let your husband take care of it?”

I almost beat him up too. feministgiant.com/p/i-beat-my-as…
I don’t want to be protected. I just want patriarchy to stop protecting and enabling men.

I don’t want to be protected. I want to be free.

How long must we wait until men stop beating and murdering us, even under lockdown?
