Their nominee for the head of HHS, Xavier Becerra, has a history of working with dark money groups, according to documents obtained via a California Public Records Request.

On December 6, 2017, Becerra participated in an environmental roundtable with dark money groups, including:

- Center for American Progress,

- Natural Resources Defense Council,

- League of Conservation Voters,

- Environmental Defense Fund,

- Ocean Conservancy,

And more...
Aside from being dark money groups, many of these groups have another thing in common:

Ties to Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse.

From donating to his campaign, to hosting events for him to speak at, to employing his spouse…

Turns out, if confirmed, the Biden administration won't be the first time Xavier Becerra and Neera Tanden have met and worked together.

According to government documents received via a California Public Records Request,

On December 12, 2018, then California AG, Xavier Becerra, met with President of the liberal dark money group CAP, Neera Tanden, in Washington to discuss the "national landscape."
Then, following the election, White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain helped nominate his former CAP Action colleague, Neera Tanden, to become head of the Office of Management and Budget.

And everyone in Washington, D.C. could see why ⤵️
