@Mattie258 @PramilaJayapal We're not talking about color we're talking about race and how it relates to competence.

For example, the famed "red tails" squadron was the only US fighter squadron with a K:D ratio less than 1 in Italy in WW2.
@Mattie258 @PramilaJayapal The Red Tails were a pet project of Elanor Roosevelt and were given premium training (they trained longer than any other fighter squadron before entering combat). They were up against an enemy with around 1/4 as much flying time b4 combat, with older aircraft and inferior fuel.
@Mattie258 @PramilaJayapal The Red Tails were an elite sample of the black airmen as well - most were never given a commission as they were too incompetent. If US, UK and Soviet pilots were as skilled as the cream of the crop of black airmen, they would have lost the war.
@Mattie258 @PramilaJayapal They also lost more bombers per mission than any other fighter group, including those that flew P-38s in that role. For their performance, they were singularly awarded the congressional gold medal:

@Mattie258 @PramilaJayapal Well over 90% of US forces were conscripted. On a population ratio, the Nazis got more Ukrainian volunteers than Americans got from their own population.

I'm sure they liked america, but the great bulk of soldiers went to war because the state told them to.
@Mattie258 @PramilaJayapal As for the red tails, they were guys who wanted to be fighter pilots. Whether they had some great love for america is impossible to know. They were probably more fond of it than the average black person at the time.
@Mattie258 @PramilaJayapal There's all sorts of psychological things going on that makes it almost mandatory to say "I fought because I loved my country".
1. It makes you seem better
2. The atrocities uncovered after the war
3. The whole war propaganda and fervor over the course of the war

@Mattie258 @PramilaJayapal Whites are the only people who can be legally discriminated against in the US. The US is on track to be a white minority. All federal government agencies have some sort of program to limit the number of whites ("diversity" initiatives).
@Mattie258 @PramilaJayapal All branches of the military have lowered standards to get more non-whites in.

Can you think of another society that's run by Group A, and is hostile to all other groups - but all institutions in that society tell you to hate Group A?
@Mattie258 @PramilaJayapal All institutions are telling you to hate whites. The only acceptable whites are those who also hate whites. Otherwise you are a "white nationalist". You probably have nothing against nationalism (you're probably not hostile to the existence of Korea for example), just white.

@itsbirdemic Do you think the fact that you have to use proxies for anything involving the brain function weaken the true relationship to "true intelligence" as opposed to something more reliable and easier to measure - like height?
@itsbirdemic Like, imagine if you wanted to measure "strength". Like "intelligence", "strength" can mean all kinds of things. And one of your metrics appears to be "educational attainment" - intuitively that seems like it would correlate with "true intelligence", but so would working in a...
@itsbirdemic ... job that tends to attract people who seem to be "strong".

The problem is that "intelligence" seems fuzzy, and I don't know how you would be able to tell if a method is at all capable of capturing "intelligence" genetic variance if it were there.

Watching Biden do everything in his power to lose popularity convinces me ever more of the "uniparty".
It always seemed so strange that the republicans and democrats remained in balance for so long given all the demographic changes. Makes me start to go tin-foil on it all.
Like, what if all this time, blacks were like 1/3 republican, and hispanics were always like 50-50. But it literally never mattered because every election's results were nudged just enough to get a pre-determined outcome. What if Trump, along with Qanon, was just a big "trust"?

@jurijfedorov @KirkegaardEmil @desiraethinking What is "history"? It's politics. Don't think so? Okay, at what presidency does "politics" end and "history" begin? Clinton?

There's no clear line. And what is "liberalism"? It's not a real thing. It's what comes from the University and spreads through all other institutions.
@jurijfedorov @KirkegaardEmil @desiraethinking That's what's real. The institutional nexus. If the Universities were promoting eugenics, that would be twitter's policy. And they'd feel super-strongly about it and would be mocking "save every baby" religious conservatives for their anti-eugenics by-god-try.
@jurijfedorov @KirkegaardEmil @desiraethinking So for "historians" to be "liberal" - of course! They are the heart of the University. What it "liberal" IS the University. It them permeates every institution because every institution is staffed by university-people at all meaningful levels.

1/ What if "slavery" was just called something else? Blacks worked fewer hours per year than free white farmers, had better nutrition as inferred from height (blacks are actually slightly shorter than whites today), and their life expectancy ratio was roughly the same today.
2/ And their literacy rate was ~20%, higher than most of the world. Certainly higher than black africa

When you actually break down what data there is on slavery, and how most former slaves who had a choice after the civil war actually chose to stay on with their former...
3/ masters, how horrible is this really compared to how most of the world actually was at the time? In Russia, you weren't a "slave", you were a "serf", though every metric of human development was worse than a US slave.
