Random long thread time
It's both heartening, and infuriating, reading the reports of various states, usually so called "battle ground" states, legislatures are working on election reform.
Heartening in the sense that claims of improprieties during the November 2020 elections are actually being looked at, in spite of the legacy media, and others, attempts to say there was nothing wrong.
Which leads to the infuriating part. Despite credible evidence that improprieties did occur, that the Dems and the courts refused to look at, and Big Tech censoring of anyone claiming there were problems ...
... leads me to ask, if there were "no problems" with the way the election was conducted, then why are state legislators looking at correcting the problems that supposedly "didn't exist"?
As the old saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies, what if it was "broke", and does need fixing? The politicians and their legacy media enablers don't think it's "broke", and are doing everything in their power to try to stop any reforms.
Everyone is looking forward to the 2022 midterms, and farther ahead, to the 2024 elections, with the idea that things will be different those times, and the process will be fair, because the whole world will be watching.
Well, the whole world *was* watching the Senatorial run off elections in GA, but nothing changed from the general in November. We all watched as the same thing happened, just on a smaller scale.
In order for us to have free and fair elections, the following needs to be implemented:

*Eliminate early voting. Go back to votes cast and counted on ONE day. We have the technology to do this.
*Enact reform legislation prohibiting state agencies and officers other than the legislature from changing the rules, as is mandated in the US Constitution.
*Prohibit "no excuse" absentee ballots. If you need to vote absentee, you must have a valid reason, such as being disabled, out of the state or country due to a job, or deployed in the military.
*Prohibit counting ballots received after election day, unless they were sent from overseas, or due to an "Act of God".

*Require voter ID at polling places. If you need to have ID to buy alcohol, you need to have ID to vote. Voting is the more important of the two.
*Signature verification! Your signature must match that which is on file.

*Voting in person, except for those who are physically unable, out of state with a valid reason for voting absentee, or overseas.
*Prohibit the use of computerized voting machines. Use paper ballots only, and create a verifiable paper audit trail for any recounts.
*Outlaw outright any and all ballot harvesting. Each individual is responsible for ensuring that only lawfully authorized individuals handle their ballots, such as a mail carrier for absentee ballots.
*Each state must be *required* by law to clean up their respective voter rolls, and to have that task completed prior to any election. Failure to do so should result in severe penalties to be determined, such as heavy fines and/or jail time.
*Poll watchers from every party listed on the ballot, not just R's and D's, must be allowed to physically be present and in a proximate location to watch as each ballot is processed. More than 3 feet away being not proximate.
*Prohibit private entities from funding election operations, such as happened in the last election. The state and county governments are *solely* responsible for all funding of election operations.
Unless and until these, and possibly other reforms that I haven't thought of, are enacted *and* enforced, we will not have free and fair elections. These reforms are not optional if we want to keep our Republic.

"Exclusive – Ted Cruz Amendment Would Block Stimulus Checks for Illegal Aliens in Coronavirus Package"
Thank you @tedcruz! Hopefully this will also be adopted, as was a similar amendment.

Side notes: I do NOT want to see this bill passed at all, but if the Senate's modifications are not accepted by the House, then it will die right then & there, and they'll have to start all over again, hopefully with a real relief bill, not a Dem wishlist bill posing as "relief".
🚨Breaking - from the Trending side bar, the $15 minimum wage hike provision failed in the Senate, with 8 Dems voting with R's against it.

Typos. I make them, and I hate 'em. Since I use my laptop, I can't blame ol' autocorrect. Like Daffy likes to say, "IT'S MINE! ALL MINE!!!".
Here's one reason why I hate typos. Say I wanted to tweet about cookies, and how good they taste, cuz just about everyone likes cookies, right?
Well, that tweet would look a *whole* lot different if I typed an "L", instead of a "K" and didn't see it until *after* I posted it. I'd look like some kind of racist cannibal, instead of someone innocently saying how good cooKies tasted.

Howdy Tweeps. It's Friday! #getexcited! The weekend has begun. Woo hoo! And you know what that means, right? Yep, time to prep for those "Honey Do" lists!
I see by the little itty bitty clock thingy down in the lower right corner that it's ... *squints* ... looking like I'm a tad late getting here today. Well let me explain ... on second thought, none of ya would probably believe me, so never mind. 🤪
Anyway, it's been a mixed bag today, weather wise. First bright and sunny, now cloudy ... ah, Spring weather in the PNW. If you don't like it, wait 5 minutes. It'll change.

"Mississippi House Votes to Ban Transgender Athletes from Girls,’ Women’s Sports"

Side notes: Before anyone gets their knickers in a knot, science tells us that there are only two biological genders, so if you dispute that, who's the "science denier"?
The science, plus life experience, tells us that males are physically inherently stronger than females, and to allow males to compete against females infers an unfair advantage.

*... sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide ...* *tap tap tap* This thing on?
Oh hai!
Howdy Tweeps. It's Thursday, aka as the day after Hump Day *and* Friday Eve at the same time. Thursday is a multitasker of a day! Bet you never thought of that, huh? You're welcome!
Anyway ... let's see ... got a whopping total of about 4 hours of sleep, mostly this morning (I was up past midnight), and yet! And yet, I still managed to get my grocery shopping done, *and* put away! Woo hoo, go me!

Howdy Tweeps. It's ... *checks calendar* ... oh yeah. Wednesday, aka Hump Day. Woo hoo! #getexcited! Anybody? Bueller? C'mon people, work with me here.
Alrighty then ... so, what's on the ol' agenda for today? Well ... *shuffles papers* ... I know I had it here a minute ago ... where did it go ...? Aha! Found it! Wait, no ... that's not it. Maybe this?
Nope, not that either ... that's a bill. Paid for, though. *whew!* Thought I'd missed that one, but nope. Good! Ok then, where were we?
