Random long thread time
It's both heartening, and infuriating, reading the reports of various states, usually so called "battle ground" states, legislatures are working on election reform. Heartening in the sense that claims of improprieties during the November 2020 elections are actually being looked at, in spite of the legacy media, and others, attempts to say there was nothing wrong.

The day after tomorrow is Election Day, and imo it's the most important Election Day in my life time. Possibly ever. There is a lot at stake. If you've been around me for any length of time, you've probably seen me tweet about people taking their rights for granted, figuring that nothing and no one will ever threaten them.

NT! As a veteran, and someone who loves this country very much, Memorial Day is pretty close to being sacred to me, as I think of all who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms. Every Memorial Day, one Bible verse stands out to me as expressing what this day means. John 15:13 (KJV), which says, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

NT! Just some thoughts on what Pelosi is doing by withholding the articles of impeachment. It's my opinion that she's doing it to infuse time into the process, to see if any cracks ... ... show up in the Republican ranks, and the media has seized ... pounced, even ... on the remarks made by @lisamurkowski over what McConnell said about coordinating with the WH ...

NT! Another area of comments that I've been responding to over the past couple of days regards the "Lufkin Licker" girl, who disgusted the Nation with her act of licking the top of a carton of Blue Bell Ice Cream, and then putting it back. Here are the facts as *I* know them. This occurred at the Walmart store in Lufkin, TX. She was accompanied by her boyfriend, who I presume is the one who filmed her unlawful act.

NT! Just a short while ago, "The Boss" made an a** of herself (when doesn't she?) over the deferment plans by some of her colleagues regarding the COLA raise that was slated to go into effect for all members of Congress ... To the tune of $4,500 month. Remember that? Well, the subject has come up again, with @GOPLeader Kevin McCarthy saying that he agrees with her, because he doesn't think members should be millionaires to serve in Congress.

NT! So, there's a big freak out happening among the Left today, after President Trump announced that ICE would be going out to round up illegal aliens, and the news broke that they'd be doing that tomorrow. All kinds of people are condemning this action, stating erroneously that ICE is going to round up *all* of the illegal aliens here. That's ludicrous on the face of it, as there are between 20 to 50 MILLION people here illegally.

NT! I have some thoughts on this latest brouhaha over Iran, and our response to it. First of all, some of you weren't even born yet, so a little history for you. In 1979, the then current ruler, the Shah of Iran, was overthrown in a coup ... Led by radical Muslim extremists, and in the process of this coup, these same extremists assaulted, and invaded our embassy in the capital city of Tehran, capturing most of the embassy staff and their Marine guards ...

NT! Some thoughts on the Mueller report. I'm old enough to remember when the conspiracy minded folks like Schiff, Nadler, Swalwell and others were all strutting around with smug little smiles waiting for the Mueller report to drop. Smug in their sureness that when it did drop, it would be their "AHA!" moment, and allow them to *finally* be rid of #OrangeManBad, saying that there was absolutely no doubt in their mind that Trump colluded with Russia. Remember that? Yeah. #goodtimes

NT! A while back I did a post about "mentions" I'd received outside of Twitter for my tweets, saying how surprised I was at just how many there actually were. Just for background, on a whim I did a search of my Twitter @ handle, and found far more than I expected. So, again on another whim, as was the first search I did, I did it again. This time, there were only three more mentions ... "only" ... I wasn't expecting any the first time, so getting three more since is kind of icing on the cake, right? They are:

NT! Starting with this report from the Washington Examiner, I want to kind of break down what *my* understanding of what this means. Caveat: I could be wrong.

NT! A few words on what's going on regarding AG Barr and the contempt of Congress filing he's facing from Nadler. The House Judiciary Committee voted strictly on party lines to find that Barr's actions were in contempt of Congress. Now in order for Barr to actually be held in contempt of Congress, the committee's findings have to go to a floor vote of the entire House. I haven't seen or heard anything on when that might take place.
