Blessed Wednesday to you all - today I wanna take the time to address the complete lie and quite frankly toxic narrative that ‘ancestors punish people’.
Many are acting from a position of fear and disempowerment - today I’m here to free you from that.
A thread.
Before we talk about why this is not true let’s take a step back and explore where it comes from.
For centuries we have practiced and executed African culture and religion without exploring the spiritual meaning and implications underlying it.
And because we did not understand the spiritual meaning, we did not see it as a means of spiritual liberation but rather it turned into something which caused spiritual oppression.
We attached umemulo to virginity, Children to marriage and manhood to income.
We know have a desire to understand and ask the question of why should I keep doing this? What benefit do I gain from it? Previous generations didn’t have the answers so ‘if you don’t you’ll be punished’ was quick and easy.
We cannot do that anymore. The youth deserves more - Africa deserves more. So then why do things go south sometimes when we have ancestral or spiritual problems?
Answer is because of spiritual imbalance which draws your attention or that of your children.
You are made up of body, mind and spirit. When the spirit is unwell because as a result of an inherited or acquired condition - this will manifest somewhere. Physical or mental health can be affected by this. Your career and love lives can be affected too.
For anything to be successful you need to be able to physical, mentally and spiritually engage. Being in love with someone or at work where only 2 of the three parts are engaged is not sustainable.
Car accidents and trauma. Where does this come from? This is a result of travelling a path where your ancestors have not or do not travel with you. If you have a wrong surname or rejected your gifts, you are now walking a path with only 2/3 parts engaging.
The spiritual guidance, wisdom and protection has significantly reduced. Still present but very low. Another term for this is your ‘gut’ feeling. That last minute decision to take a different route to work.
Hence when this is down life can happen, accidents can happen.
Lemme give an example, being bumped at the back or scratching your car after almost crashing is your guides being with you. They can’t stop life from happening but they can protect how great the impact. Wrecking and totalling your car is a big red flag.
Finally the inherited spiritual condition is the most important. You are a product of your parents and their parents. As there genetic form of inheritance, so too are there spiritual. We are born with genetic predisposition for some conditions, the same happens spiritually.
Knowing and understanding your family history means you know exactly what needs healing. A toxic relationship with your dad and him with his dad is not punishment - that’s a cry for healing. History doesn’t repeat itself, it rhymes (Mark Twain)
And if you really wanna see the result of ignoring that which you ignored because you’re good - look at your kids. For whatever you don’t address becomes someone else’s problem. In conclusion please don’t believe people telling you you will/ are being punished.
Step back and try understand the spirituality before making a decision. Do not be coerced or pressured into anything.

Beautiful and blessed Tuesday morning to you all. Today we’re talking being born in a veil (ukuzalwa wembethe) also known as en caul birth.
Ps. Apologies for only dropping this now.
A THREAD
It’s important to know that being born en caul doesn’t necessarily mean you must Thwasa. It simply means you are born with an ancestral spirit bearing gifts or returning to live in this time to complete that which they could not. There a few types of en caul birth.
1. Most common. Being born with the amniotic sac around the head or covering your body completely. The veil/blanket is what a lot of people obsess over. Some stealing it in hospitals or being told they need to ‘bring it back’ with a goat. This is a lie.
I always here some people say they don’t believe in ancestors and African medicine & healing. It’s funny that we think it’s a belief thing when it’s not.
You cannot undo your family history by simply not believing.
A short thread.
Please, I’m not here to try force/convince/scare anyone into anything but rather trying to separate belief and reality.
What we don’t understand is that African healing and medicine works predominantly on facts. What happened, to whom and why. Where do you fall ?
You cannot change your genetic make up. You cannot change the fact the you are a product of your mother and father. To simply not believe won’t change this.
Your grandmother asking you for a goat, not believing isn’t going to change the fact that she’s your gran.
