💉347,406 doses given yesterday but a definite shift towards second doses with nearly 20% of all given yesterday being second doses.

💉💉 21,946,433 doses given in total to 20,982,571 people.

There had been 30 bidders and it seems Tyneside was one that has lost out.

The problem is that rather than generate a load of new jobs and trade they tend to move the pieces around the chessboard.

...and create a have for stolen goods and money laundering.

There may be some advantage for renewables that I have yet to grasp.

GE is thought to be interested in setting up a Dogger Bank 3.6 Gigawatt wind turbine farm 130km off the Yorkshire Coast. That would be one of the world’s largest wind farms providing clean energy for 4.5 million homes

Another Covid - Blood Group A Study

A research team at Brigham & Women's Hospital in the USA assessed how the blood groups A, B and O reacted to the protein and found blood type A to be the most reactive to a particular protein in the virus called RBD

I have not seen the study itself so cannot comment on the quality, but this is now 1 of 4 that at least notes a correlation between Blood Group A and more severe Covid.

Critics slam letter in prestigious journal that downplayed COVID-19 risks to Swedish schoolchildren

Bloody hell.

Having published a letter suggesting that deaths in children had not significantly increased emails revealed a very different picture

This is a paediatrician!

The original letter he wrote combined the ages 1-16years when counting deaths from any causes. 69 children March to June 2020 v 65 on the 5 year Average.

He also incorrectly reported NO major school outbreaks, ignoring one where 18/76 staff infected

One of the teachers died. Children were not tested.

It gets worse. Contrary to his published letter Ludvigsson wrote to Tegnell that “unfortunately we see a clear indication of excess mortality among children ages 7-16 old, the ages where ‘kids went to school.’”

But it didn’t. It lost critical remain votes and is on its way to doing it again.

Labour's difficulty, of course, was that it was in competition for the Remain vote in England and Wales with the Liberal Democrats, a party that was clear if not always effective in its advocacy of the argument that Brexit should be cancelled,

Half the people in this unit are younger than me. Think about that. Working age NHS staff saying this.

Most nurses feel the pandemic has had a negative effect on their mental health.

How are we caring for them?
