Being props and photographs to the readings. Maybe an enormous poster showing mobile morgues with text that says “I’d rather be helping Americans in need but Republicans are making us do this instead.”

*bring* props. Can also bring a poster that says “we could be sending you a check, but Republicans are making us do this instead.” Have t-shirts made and wear them. I’m not joking. Make them regret giving you this attention and air time.

More slogans you can put on t-shirts and props: "I'd rather be extending your unemployment, but Republicans are making me do this instead." "I'd rather be helping your small business, but Republicans are making me do this instead." "I'd rather be opening your kid's school, but.."

I really am not joking. Use the word "your," it startles people into paying attention. You can also use questions on the props and t-shirts (also a technique for commanding attention): "would you rather get a vaccine, sooner, or listen to this?"

Have your staffers calculate the number of people that could be vaccinated in the time wasted reading this, and hammer that fact during breaks; same for the number of people dying during each minute wasted doing this.

I'm serious Dems. Do it.

Calculate the number of hours/minutes it will take to read through the whole thing, and put out a video before you're made to do it: time ticker, death count, pandemic images. Blast social media and airwaves with it.
