Inspirational Women In Islam ( Khadija bint al-Khuwaylid )

A 🧵
Khadija bint al-Khuwaylid was the first wife of the Prophet Muhammad ( ﷺ ) and remains one of the most powerful and inspiring figures in Islamic history.

She was a wealthy woman and trader who managed her own commercial dealings.
A wealthy woman of her own right, she was a businesswoman and trader who managed her own commercial dealings across the region.

She was granted the incredible blessing of being the Holy Prophets ( ﷺ ) wife and is an icon for Muslims everywhere in her own right.
She originally hired Muhammad ( ﷺ ) to work for her but eventually proposed to him. Taken aback by the adoration of such a powerful and inspiring woman,

The Prophet ( ﷺ )accepted the proposal, loving her and never remarrying until after her death.
When Muhammad ( ﷺ ) first heard the angel Gabriel speaking to him, he was terrified and described his encounter with the divine to Khadija. She comforted him and was instrumental in convincing Muhammad to accept that Allah had spoken to him.
Khadija was also the first person to accept Islam, and she is referred to by Muslims as “the Mother of Believers.” She supported Muhammad ( ﷺ ) during his time as a prophet both morally and financially.
In Islam, whether rich or poor, one’s financial condition is a test. Khadija gave her earnings to the poor and to the orphans, to the widows and the sick. She helped poor girls get married and provided their dowry.
She was also known for working hard and aiming high. She was a successful and esteemed business-women. Her trade business was larger than all of the Quraysh trades combined. Not only this, but she was known for fair dealing and high-quality goods.
This was also in a time were business was heavily male-dominated

She also cared for the orphans. Her house was open to the poor and particularly orphans. Her house was known as the "The house of hope and security." and many orphans would visit it whenever they were in need.
Khadija sympathized with them a lot and she would care for them in a motherly way. So they called her "Ummul Yatama", meaning, "Mother of the Orphans".
When she passed away in 620AD, the Prophet is said to have dug her grave himself. Constantly supporting the Prophet through some of the most challenging days of early Islam, Khadija remains one of the most powerful women of history.

1st Point - Touching the opposite gender before marriage and objectifying women has all become a norm, this is what happens when society and media portrays and it shows us in videos, movies and things like that it portrays it as an alright thing to do when again it is wrong

Resisting Sexual Desires In Islam

A 🧵
Sexual desire is something that has been created within humans and cannot be rid of. Getting rid of it is not something that is required of the Muslim; rather what is required of him is to refrain from using it in haraam ways, and to use it in the ways that Allaah has permitted.
