A 🧵on Islam's perspective of sexual assault

So as we know from statistics 97% of young women have been Sexually harassed and now I'm going to speak on it from an Islamic point of view

1st Point - Touching the opposite gender before marriage and objectifying women has all become a norm, this is what happens when society and media portrays and it shows us in videos, movies and things like that it portrays it as an alright thing to do when again it is wrong

Adding on to that point men are also objectified and sexually assaulted and it is wrong towards both genders no matter who the person is

2nd point - This is why free mixing is not allowed people get too friendly and leaving their comfort zone and think it's alright to do whatever

3rd Point - If we applied what Islam says these numbers would be so much lower but again not a Muslim country and even if we did some men out there still objectify women in there hijab and when they are trying to please Allah, the issue in today's age is society and media

4th Point - Some of you men need to learn to control your self and it the basic thing control your desires and some of you men need to understand that women are off-limits

5th point - Why do you think the UK has some messed up statistics like this because we live in a society where things like watching porn has become a norm even though its haram and not allowed in Islam and in general it is bad for you

The prophet ﷺ said “for one of you to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle is better for him than that he should touch a woman who is not permissible for him”

If you know someone has abused a child, or harassed or assaulted a woman, this person should first be educated. If this does not work, they must be shunned. A clear message has to be sent to them that this behaviour is completely unacceptable.

Lastly, regardless if you’re male or female please don’t hesitate or be scared to speak about the issue of sexual assault, speak to someone you trust as you deserve justice and have faith, you will receive it on the day of judgement

Don’t lose faith in Allah, may Allah deal with all sexual assaulters accordingly أمين
