She had the right to leave. The officer had the right to gather evidence, get a warrant, and arrest her later, if necessary. Oh, and the officer never read her any rights as he tried to detain and search her. #ROC
To use force on a woman suspected of shoplifting inexpensive items, a woman with a toddler, a woman who was within her rights to simply say no, was outrageous. #ROC
