Yes – investors from India can directly invest in the US stock market

Investing in US stocks or ETFs by Indian investors is permissible under the RBI’s Liberalized Remittance Scheme (LRS)

Many US companies we know, are growing fast, innovative & have strong moat

Taxes on investment gains:

You will be taxed in India for this gain. Taxes will not be withheld in the US.

Since investments in US equities must be made in USD, you need wire transfer via your bank

Plans only needed if you are planning for trading
How will I bring my money back?

Just withdraw funds like you do in Zerodha or any other Demat account

It will come back to linked account in 3-4 days

Phil Fisher- 15 point Scuttlebutt

“It is amazing what an accurate picture of the relative points of strength & weakness of each company in an industry can be obtained from a representative cross-section of the opinions of those concerned” 🧵
1. Does the company have the products or services with sufficient market potential to make possible a sizable increase in sales for at least several years?
2. Does the management have a determination to continue to develop products or processes that will still further increase total sales potentials when the growth potentials of currently attractive product lines have largely been exploited?
