THREAD: This afternoon in NYC, Trump supporters marched with a giant "Trump 2024" banner to Times Square, where a struggle ensued.
Police first arrested two counter-protesters.
One told police he didn't do anything but that he had been called the n-word by Trump supporters.

Following the arrests, one counter-protester confronted the "Asians for Trump" portion of the event.
"Fight me, fight me then!" she told one.
One chanted "We love Trump!" and said "Trump will win for a third time."

Directly after that, NYPD rushed at another counter-protester, although I didn't see what led to it. The activist was arrested face first at Time Square.
During that struggle, a second activist fled into H&M, where he was arrested and pulled out.

I spoke to one "gays for Trump" activist who says he believes Trump will be re-elected in 2024, but was interrupted by YouTuber @CHBAF.
"Ew! I'm only into big dicks, sorry, you're disgusting," he told her.

The march had begun at Trump Tower, where NYPD attempted to keep a self-proclaimed antifascist away and escorted the group as they unfurled their "Trump 2024" banner.
They also had a giant banner of Nancy Pelosi ripping Trump's State of the Union speech following close behind.

Journalist @JonFarinaPhoto / @StatusCoup asked a woman about Trump's election. She says "Trump is still the president as far as I'm concerned."
When he points out that Pence certified the election, she retorted that he's a "deep state puppet."

Frankly, sometimes I cover two-sided events where arguing etc leads to some finding of common ground.
