don't mind me just thinking of modern au where yuuji is best friends with megumi but he has a huge puppy crush on megumi's adoptive father gojo satoru. part 1

yuuji becomes megumi's friend because he sees the black-haired boy beating the shit out of some older kids.
megumi wipes some dirt off his cheek and glares at yuuji, thinking he's the same as those bullies.

"they were saying shit about my sister and dad," he tells him.

"i see," yuuji nods with understanding. "then they deserve it."

thus begins a beautiful friendship.
yuuji learns that megumi cares a lot about his family through the subtle ways he smiles when he talks about his sister's sincerity or how he wears this annoyed but resigned expression whenever his dad calls him.

they spend lots of time at yuuji's place since his gramps
is at the hospital and yuuji uses the excuse that he often feels lonely. he appreciates megumi's companionship.

after some months, megumi breaks out of his shell a bit more, and his family sees this. they want to meet this rumored itadori yuuji who influenced
their resident introvert, so megumi finally takes the initiative to invite him to his home.

"wow!" yuuji's mouth is gaping wide. "such a rich boy."

his friend scratches his neck with an irritated sigh. "it's not my money," he says.

yuuji is excited to meet megumi's family
since he speaks so highly of his older sister, but more importantly, he's interested in his father, the man who megumi begrudgingly respects but also dislikes him with a passion.

"wait, do you like your dad or don't?"

his best friend wrinkles his nose. "it's complicated."
megumi's description of his dad doesn't help either. he mentions how he has snowy white hair but looks hella young. he also says how he's a reliable man and that megumi is forever indebted to his adoptive father but that he's a piece of shit and unreliable.
"why you wanna meet my dad so bad?" megumi grumbles as they enter his house.

"because you keep giving me mixed messages," yuuji grins.

on one hand, he's holding a welcoming gift. some cute animal shaped cookies he baked before arriving, wrapped in some pretty pastel
colors to give megumi's family a good first impression. after all, it's his first time visiting a friend's house, so he wants to go all out since he rarely has this opportunity.

"i'm home," megumi takes off his shoes, and yuuji follows suit.

"welcome home~" yuuji hears.
like megumi said, snowy white hair is the first thing he sees. the rest is history because the boy is speechless, completely unprepared for the most handsome man he has ever met appear in front of him.

"oh? and who's this?" megumi's father questions with a tantalizing smirk.
obviously, that is his cue to introduce himself, but he's so starstruck by sky blue eyes that he forgets until his friend nudges him with his elbow.

"i-itadori yuuji! nice to meet you!" he bows with a bit of a stutter, flushed and feeling heat creep up his neck.
then he offers the gift to megumi's father. just go like he rehearsed.

"thank you for letting me visit," he clenches his eyes and straightens out. "it's an honor to meet you."

"gojo satoru," the man extends his hand and holy shit, his hand is so big and warm and fits so nicely.
tbc -w- sneepy.
Goyuu

modern au where yuuji is best friends with megumi but he has a huge puppy crush on megumi's adoptive father gojo satoru. Part 2.

After his first visit, Megumi’s dad gives raving reviews about his cookies.

“Ugh now he wants you to come over more often.”
“Is that bad?” Yuuji asks.

He likes megumi’s home. It’s cozy and comfortable and organized. Sure some aspects don’t fit megumi’s personality like the tacky abstract paintings on the wall but he can see how his friend grew up in that space. Also his dad’s hot. That’s a bonus.
“No,” the raven haired boy sighs. “He’s embarrassing. That’s all. “

With megumi’s approval, yuuji is a constant in the gojo household. On days when Tsumiki visits (she commutes from university), Satoru would impulsively take them out on road trips or to the beach during
Holidays. At some point, yuuji is a fixture in their small family. He forgot what it was like to eat meals with a full table or fill the couch to enjoy a movie together.

“Something wrong yuuji?” Satoru asks him one day once he paused rinsing dishes. “Did you cut
Yourself?” The man saunters closer to check.

“No,” yuuji shakes his head and turns off the faucet. “I just,” his eyes turn a bit glossy, “ I feel very blessed.”

A hand pets his head, combing through his pink strands with affection. “We are blessed to have you too.”
With these visits, he spends lots of time with megumi’s dad and his crush grows a little bigger day by day. Sometimes they would lounge on the couch and marathon movies with commentary throwing back and forth. Other times they would work out together in satoru’s
Personal gym and would spot each other as needed. Those moments are yuuji’s favorite and nightmares because he’s in danger of messing with the equipment but at least he can potentially die watching the sweat trail down the nape of the man’s neck.
Satoru is an easygoing man, easy on the eyes and easy to converse. Yet, yuuji falls harder when he learns why Satoru is megumi’s adoptive dad and the struggles he went through. He was good friends with megumi’s mom and after her passing, along with megumi’s dad committing
Suicide right after, satoru’s name was on the will and he was suddenly a father of two. He was successful at an early age and tried dating so then Megumi and Tsumiki can have a mother figure. But he can’t commit when
Most women he dated are after his money or are two faced liars thanks to Megumi telling him how shitty they treated his children.

“I’m not the best parent,” Satoru admits. “But I feel more at ease now that they’ve grown.”
Yuuji’s heart begins to beat faster when he sees the man smile with pride.

“You’re very cool, Satoru-san.”

That must be the right answer because now that beautiful smile is directed to yuuji.

Few years go by. Tsumiki is living with her boyfriend in the next city and
Megumi lives in the dorms at the university he attends. Yuuji still hangs out with his best friend whenever he’s not studying but nowadays he just hangs out with Satoru. Even when he’s studying because he studies better with the white noise of Satoru doing his own work
At home. Actually it comes to a point when Satoru tells yuuji he can just stay in Tsumiki’s old room so then he doesn’t have to pay rent any longer. Since he’s a college student, he can just repay Satoru by cooking all the meals and housework.
“But that’s not fair,” yuuji tries to push a wad of cash into the man’s hand.

“Trust me. You’re doing me a favor,” Satoru grins. “It’s hard to clean the house without Megumi here,” he laughs. “And I’ll get diabetes if I keep cooking for myself.”
“So weird you get along with my dad,” Says Megumi when he hears about the arrangement.

Yuuji turns a shade darker. Good thing Megumi is too oblivious to catch his crush.

For a year, he tries to forget Satoru. Tried going to mixers and double dates with Nobara
But nobody compares to Satoru. To his maturity and stability and familiarity. Not goofy or impulsive or weird enough to get him going.

On the days he goes to an outing, Satoru is strangely tense and silent but the man waves it off as a stressful meeting with his superiors.
This safe bubble the two shared bursts on satoru’s birthday. Tsumiki and Megumi promise to visit during the weekend and host a nice party to celebrate their father’s birthday. Which is fine and good but on the actual day, yuuji cooks a feast. With all of satoru’s
Favorite foods, enough to feed a king, and a cute strawberry shortcake for dessert with lots of candles to jab at his age.

Of course, Satoru loves it and devours his cake like an animal, messy with frosting on his nose and bits of his chin because nobody can judge him
For his slovenly appearance. It’s endearing. So endearing yuuji cannot contain these feelings anymore and kisses him, stealing some whipped cream in the process.

Immediately he turns shy and backs away when he gets to no reaction but his fears are put to rest when
The front of his shirt is pulled and Satoru lets him taste more of the cake in his mouth.

Damn. Yuuji knows how to make a pretty good cake.
Afterwards, yuuji expects a profound change, but besides sleeping in the same bed and more intimate touches, nothing changes. Until yuuji realizes they’ve been living like a married couple ever since.

Satoru laughs when he voices out his observation and kisses him silly.
Megumi is horrified to learn the news. Because he thought his single adoptive father was already bad but he’s worse when he’s in love and buys all these matching family shirts and grossly smacks yuuji’s ass to get a disgusted expression to rile Megumi.
He slightly regrets having the two meet when they eventually get married and all the disgusting jokes that his best friend is technically his dad.

Even do, he’s glad to see them happy. His weird, quirky but lovable family. End.

au where yuuji is a window (a person who can see curses but is not a sorcerer). he's actually an assistant for tokyo curse technical college just like ijichi-san. after graduating high school, he immediately got hired, which is great because the school offers
housing, great pay, and a place for his gramps to stay.

usually his errands consists of driving sorcerers to their missions, applying first aid at the site (since he got training), monitoring his assigned ward for curses, and helping everybody else whenever he's free since he's
kinda the unofficial handyman of the college thanks to his resourceful skills he acquired when he lived alone.

in addition to his friendly nature, he's at everybody's beck and call. the other assistants are grateful to have him around since he's so energetic and strong.

yuuji hears the rumors and though he's not satoru's mate, he feels livid.

"don't be his mate. he killed his omega," they would whisper behind his sensei's back. "that's why he's the strongest because no sane man could override his instincts."
as much as yuuji wants to defend his teacher, he cannot overstep his boundaries. after all, he's only your average, normal beta. no cursed technique, no special scent, nothing. even sukuna mocks and degrades him as a disappointing vessel, but yuuji manages to ignore
his name-calling. after all, he's just a dumb alpha who wants to go on a rage and probably let out his pheromones to get his dick wet. he's nothing compared to satoru.

but again, he's just a beta. what's worse is that he heard satoru used to have an omega but killed him because

geto is dead. gojo accepts this fact. it's fine, he tells himself. it's normal to lose your best and only friend.

yet, when he eats his sweets, they still taste like ash. so he decides to cope through another method.
he goes down this shady district at night, brimming with curses and shitty people alike, but he's not here to exterminate your average curse. he's here for a good lay to help him forget his crappy week.

then a strange person catches his eye.

a young boy, no older
than 16 years old, with shocking pink hair and a scantily clad outfit, stands at a corner, beckoning for sleazy men to pick him up. he must be new because he makes a poor effort. the makeup he wears is all wrong and they don't fit his cute features. the cologne he wears
