For anyone wondering why there is a fight / resistance against a #MinimumWageHike - I am here to explain it to you - BUT first you need to understand one item
The folks that are against the minimum wage increase are in fact pro -poverty because that’s where the big dollars are ( I know it’s perplexing, keep reading )
When folks can’t afford preventative doctor/ dentist visits, when emergencies happen it will cost more. Can’t afford a routine teeth cleaning , that root canal bill will blow your mind.
Can’t afford to pay small bills on time. There goes your credit score. And when that goes down- you are typically obligated to pay higher interest rates FOR EVERYTHING.
Can’t afford to pay for healthier food options- wait until the bills come in for diabetes, blood pressure medication, and other obesity related medical expenses.
There’s big money in poverty- BIG MONEY. So instead of asking why some politicians are against the #MinimumWageHike, look into their donors and you might see why they are pro-poverty
Follow the money. This is why we need to start electing folks that are closer to the problem instead those that are closer to the power that feeds that pro-poverty movement. In all starts at the ballot box. #OnYourTeam
