Let us assume Pakistan accepts Azad #Kashmir as an independent country. What NEXT?

Can our nationalist friends enlighten us how the journey from independemt AJK to Dogra's state of J& K will take place?

Let us start with Gilgit Baltistan. GB was occupied using brutal force. Dogras only managed to contain areas across the Indus river after a massacre in Yasin Valley in 1863. How do our nationalists plan to get back GB? Clearly, majority people of GB consider them as Pakistani.

IOK: What is the plan to end occupation of Kashmir Valley? How do we plan to convince India to leave? What is the leverage Independent Azad Kashmir can use on India or on the world that Pakistan couldn't?

Palestinians represent their case across the world and at the UN themselves. Has it helped them since 1948? How different it will be if Kashmiries (JKLF as they wish) represent the case?
P5? UK is the reason of this mess. USA and Russia vetoed against us. France? Really?

China: Why would China support an independent Kashmir? Won't China veto even if France, UK and USA see an independent Kashmir as another Israel in S.Asia and decided to support the idea? Who will take Aksai Chin from China?

Jammu: Why would a Hindu majority Jammu remain with Independent Kashmir? The same goes to Ladakh.
How can one ignore the fact that these two regions (minus muslim majority districts of Jammu) barely have an issue to remain with India.

How will (and how long can) an Independent Kashmir survive? Assuming Pakistan treats us as a brotherly country, what will a landlocked Azad Kashmir do? Have we really thought through the idea of being a foreigner in Pakistan well? Means no freedom to buy properties and work!

How about budget? JKLF tells that main income source will be water, remittances and natural resources. Are we serious? First, water can't be sold. Even India can't sell water to Pakistan and make money out of it. Electricity? Yes. But how if Pak doesn't need it from AJK?

A recent report from Pakistan Economic Survey shows that Pak already had a surplus electricity generation (~35k MW). The issue is mismanagement and line losses, which will be over in a few years. Who will independent AJK sell electricity to? To India? China? ...

Remittances? Ex president of AJK chamber of conference told few years ago that the total remittances don't exceed 200-300 millions $ annually. Considering total of 22B for entire Pak and the ratio of overseas Pakistani:Kashmiri (~9-10:1), it won't exceed 1 billion/year. But wait!

Remittances do not contribute to budget directly, although they support central reserves and improve saving/spending power.
Natural resources? Are we serious that we want to make our budget from cutting and selling trees and mining what may not exist (jewels)?

Let us even forget about defense!! With neighbours like India &China can one imagine what we might be in? What are our plans?
Let us also not ignore the possibility of being a proxy of UK and West against China/Russia. West would certainly want to support us for that.

Last but not least, what about pro-Pakistan sentiment in AJK? Will they just sit down and watch? Remember, they can't buy property or do business in Pakistan. No quota for education & jobs. A land locked tiny country with locked horns with all neighbours and an internal mess!!!

How can one ignore that Kashmir was liberated to eventually become a part of Pakistan (the nature of relatoinship is another topic). Why would the people of AJK agree to suddenly turn their back on Pakistan?

Let us not forget the reality that an independent Kashmir might be a more difficult task. Not only it is against the resolutions of the @UN (no third option there) but also brings an uncertanity (strategically) to its all neighbours. India was the 1st to oppose this idea in 1948
