OK - it has begun, the detention (or free on bail) hearing of Isaac Steve Sturgeon, before EDNY Magistrate Judge Cheryl Pollak. Sturgeon traveled to Kenya on Jan 24 & got a ticket to return on April 5. He was deported by #Kenya in advance of the return date.
Sturgeon's lawyer: As his Instagram will show, he has been to Kenya before, he likes to travel.
Judge: I'm going to release him [Sturgeon] on $250,000 bond.
Sturgeon: I travel a lot, that's why I asked for a new passport, mine was full of stamps. That's how much I travel.
