First lets check status of ur licence. Do this so you know ur state RTO has digitized ur licence data. Mine was deleted but that also can be solved online

1. Select ur state from drop down
2. Select services you wanna avail

DL Renewal

Proper steps are given on what + how the form has to be filled up. Please read them properly. You need to select it very carefully.

Note: If license renewal of person > 40 years is to be done, medical certificate is mandatory to be signed & stamped by doc

Carry receipt + form + slot confirmation and visit RTO for test

Sorry but test can't be done online. Maybe in future they may allow 😜

My favourite. You can apply for International Driving Permit online

Doesn't show on first page but u will need the following docs to be uploaded. If u have these ready then only apply

- Passport
- Visa
- Flight tickets

This option shows u all the services u can avail for ur license

1. Select this option
2. You will see available services for ur DL
3. Select the service you wanna avail

Made a request but forgot to add some service. Don't worry. While the application is in process you can do it via

Add services to an existing application
Or
Add class to an existing application ( In case u forgot)

If RTO has asked for additional docs or if u wanna add something you forgot while the form filling use this option.

Make sure the scanned image is adhered to min / max size given beside the upload button ( A pain but...)

Note : If u have the old physical book license & u don't find ur license in database don't just blindly apply for new. Visit the RTO for it and they will guide you

You cannot have 2 licences at any point of time. Do take care

This is a centralized website so would be same for all states. Some services may differ statewise. Read instructions carefully and you would be good to go.

RTO officials have been trained but do have patience

Once your DL is printed they will update Post Office of India PNR number. Don't worry if the same doesn't reflect on their website for tracking.

DL once printed will reach you in 7-10 days approx. Also u cannot collect same from Post Office. (Happend in my & dad's case)
