2/ Just after she said, "No", #Meghan's jaw moved quickly and laterally to her right. The duration of this nonverbal display lasted less than a second.
3/ This near-microexpression is an example of what is known as a "Jaw Confessional" which is displayed in the context of, and in the seconds prior to, the anticipation of speaking truth. It also indicates a component of fear.
1/ THREAD: #Meghan's and #Harry's Interview w/ #Oprah — Body Language — Image No. 3: As Meghan said, "That's a really loaded piece of toast!" (In response to public criticism regarding her consumption of avocados), Meghan laughed sincerely.
2/ An often overlooked component of both sincere smiling and sincere laughter is jaw retraction. Meghan's mandible is pulled backward slightly here (although for many of us, it sometimes is retracted significantly more). #BodyLanguage#BodyLanguageExpert#MeghanMarkle
3/ You'll also note that Meghan is blushing significantly here. Those individuals who blush easier tend to have an overall more sincere personality. #BodyLanguage#BodyLanguageExpert#MeghanMarkle
1/ THREAD: Body Language Analysis No. 4483: Donald Trump and Ken Paxton — the cult-worshiped and the sycophant. Earlier today, @KenPaxtonTX tweeted this image of him and Donald Trump prior to attending CPAC #BodyLanguageExpert#BodyLanguage#DonaldTrump#CPAC2021
2/ Paxton has long-standing weakness on the right side of his face. Taking this into account, his smile is sincere (he's experiencing true joy-happiness) being with/posing with Trump.
3/ Note Trump's facial expression, however. His smile is NOT sincere. One tell-tale sign of a feigned smile is recruitment of the neck muscles (platysma and sternocleidomastoids). Trump's neck muscles are significantly contracted. Trump is NOT happy — his smile is poorly faked.
3/ This is an enlargement of the upper-right hand corner of the video from the alley. There appears to be a person in the distance (circled in orange here), perhaps a look-out/accomplice.
2/ When assessing for Insincerity (Chronic Lying) as an overall personality trait (not just lying in a single moment) what is the most important #BodyLanguage sign?
3/ The answer is the same for both of these two questions: When a person is displaying an elevated forehead contraction *too frequently* or doing so *out of context*.
1/ THREAD: Donald Trump will once again be Impeached by the House of Representatives. However, in order for the President to be *Convicted and Removed* by the US Senate, a vote of at least "two-thirds of the Members present" is required.
Note the crucial word, "present".
2/ If the Republican senators don't have the ethics and the courage to go on record and convict and remove Donald Trump from the Presidency, they can simply leave the Senate Chamber and the denominator in this two-thirds equation is lowered.
3/ Allowing for the swearing-in of @ossoff and @ReverendWarnock, if 25 of the 50 Republican senators *would simply leave the room*, two-thirds maths becomes achieved if the 50 Dems vote for conviction and removal and the 25 remaining Republicans vote against it.
1/ THREAD: This is @HawleyMO's current profile pic at the top of his Wikipedia page. He can place any photo on this page he chooses. And no, this is not 'just the way he smiles' — this image shows #JoshHawley with a classic Contempt expression.
2/ Contempt is a clear and caustic tell that a person views him/herself as superior to another individual group — that they think of that person/group as beneath them.
3/ Contempt (along with Disgust) were the two most common emotional displays Nazi captors displayed toward their prisoners in Auschwitz, Buchenwald, Dachau, and the many other concentration camps during WWII.
