#GETTR backer Miles Guo Wengui had a quarrel with his computer engineer who is said to have built what became the GETTR platform. So Guo threatens to turn the man over to the Communist Chinese secret police: “I can still have you rubbed out.” #CPAC2021
#GETTR's Miles Guo Wengui pledged his allegiance to Xi Jinping in this August, 2017 video. He says he supports Xi's "China Dream," which is to make the Chinese Communist Party the world's prime power, and would subjugate the United States.

NEW: #CPAC2021 scuttlebutt: Trump's 2024 White House chances hinge on how successful the GOP is in defeating Democrats in the 2022 midterms businessinsider.com/trump-2024-cha…
Interestingly, that fairly stunning 97/68 (approve/should run in 24) split on Trump in straw poll seemed to match this chatter around #CPAC2021
When Trump laid down the GOP civil war again at the end, it played into this concern I was hearing of whether he can carry the party to general election victories (and actual power) or whether this is losing power

Trump's speeches make SO MUCH MORE SENSE live

They also make more sense if you've been steeped in conservative propaganda for four days at #CPAC2021, which is what I, a leftist, just did

Here's why people lose their minds for Trump in such a big way:
Trump knows how to make an entrance. The speech was scheduled at 3:40. He came on closer to 5:00. At 3:50 a CPAC organizer told us everything was on schedule and played us a long clip of CPAC happenings, which was entertaining

After that, the upbeat dance music started
At loud-but-not-uncomfortable volume, we listened to:

Billy Jean by Michael Jackson (can you fucking IMAGINE what Q would say if a Dem had played a Michael Jackson song?!)

In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins

Macho Man by Village People (Yes, really)

Gloria by Laura Branigan

Q-Left? Liberals cook up absurd conspiracy theory to read Nazism into the @CPAC stage. @mschlapp rightly called this leftist fever dream "outrageous and slanderous." CPAC had Jewish prayer sessions and a Shabbat dinner. It stands for Judeo-Christian values

"The Left traffics in 'dog whistles' so incredibly sensitive that only leftists can hear them, as compared to the supposed targets, who only see a stage," @cjvalues exec. director @ymenken told PJ Media.
"I wish that all those who for politics pretend to care about hate, real or imagined, would speak up when Orthodox Jews are generalized and defamed by elected officials," @YossiGestetner told me, referencing his battles against Andrew Cuomo.

1/ THREAD: Body Language Analysis No. 4483: Donald Trump and Ken Paxton — the cult-worshiped and the sycophant. Earlier today, @KenPaxtonTX tweeted this image of him and Donald Trump prior to attending CPAC
#BodyLanguageExpert #BodyLanguage #DonaldTrump #CPAC2021
2/ Paxton has long-standing weakness on the right side of his face. Taking this into account, his smile is sincere (he's experiencing true joy-happiness) being with/posing with Trump.
3/ Note Trump's facial expression, however. His smile is NOT sincere. One tell-tale sign of a feigned smile is recruitment of the neck muscles (platysma and sternocleidomastoids). Trump's neck muscles are significantly contracted. Trump is NOT happy — his smile is poorly faked.

I would imagine that it's just a coincidence. Still, it's getting harder and harder to distinguish insane fact from feverish fiction these days.
Idea: a Twitter party game where I make a statement about something absolutely ludicrous that supposedly happened at #CPAC2021, and you have to guess if it's true or false.
Example: A sitting GOP congressman spoke at #CPAC2021 less than 12 hours after addressing a gathering of white nationalists. True or false? (True)

A short thread on #CPAC2021's unusual stage, which is clearly in the shape of a well known Nazi symbol.

It is also a symbol in use today by American extremists.

Matt Schlapp and the CPAC leadership need to explain how this could have happened.
Would be easy for Matt Schlapp to address this today, apologize and make some small changes to the stage.

Would make it clear it was a mistake and that CPAC doesn't want any one to believe they are giving any more aid and comfort to American extremists than they already are.
If a Dem group learned their stage was in the shape of a Nazi/American Neo-Nazi symbol, they would apologize, and change the stage.

Instead it appears Schlapp is plowing ahead, and will put the former President on that stage tomorrow.

It's a mistake.

"I'm here, I'm not going anywhere, and I'm not backing down," @HawleyMO says to a standing ovation at #CPAC2021
Hawley gets another standing ovation and huge cheers when he mentions he lodged an objection to PA's electoral votes to "have a debate over election integrity" (which is actually not an approved purpose of the objections provision in the Electoral Count Act) #CPAC2021
So far the audience seems much more excited and enthusiastic about Hawley than any other speaker, gets more applause for his book (other senators who have spoken today include Ted Cruz, Marsha Blackburn, Tom Cotton, and Rick Scott,) #CPAC2021

Ahead of #CPAC2021, our new report underscores how Trump’s racism and xenophobia backfired. Take a look: bit.ly/3q6w3yx Image
"Donald Trump is reemerging to proclaim his domination of the GOP and to put anti-immigrant bigotry at the heart of the party’s message. We predict this will be as ‘successful’ as his efforts to do so in 2018 and 2020." - @ZacharyAMueller
"The GOP strategy is clear: use racism and xenophobia to divide the nation and distract voters from the multiple crises we face. Trump and his Republicans are not interested in governing, they are interested in regaining power." - @ZacharyAMueller

GOP Rep. Ted Budd's mention of the 1619 Project draws boos from the audience at #CPAC2021

"The left, of course, does hate the bill of rights," Sen. Mike Lee says. "Why? Because the bill of rights says what things the government can't do." #CPAC2021

Lee says "the people of California are recalling their governor" because "they can enjoy a 5-star meal at the French Laundry but they can't go to church."

(The recall isn't set yet; petitioners have 1.8 million signatures, while Newsom won in 2018 with 7.7 million votes.)
