Sorry, this must be a hard time for you guys.
A 1.9T covid relief package should be a huge cause for celebration for anyone who believes that govt should help vulnerable people, especially during covid. But people like Katie have built their entire worldview & podcast incoe stream on "Dems bad", so rather than celebrate,
they're miserable and picking nits about some headline for their patreon viewer-base to get all riled up about because "Lib'rul media bias." Sad.
Oh yeah...this would have been a much better headline.

At the risk of putting forth a pretty 'centristy' take- I think Lorenz is pretty bad at her job & also the people who obsessively hate her are mostly gamergate-style creeps, who are objectively worse.

Also, Glenn is just a terrible person. The absolute worst.
Glenn always reduces everything to 'mean tweets', despite him given examples, time after time, of it being way more than that. Because he has to downplay any harassment/abuse from his buddies, directed at people who criticize him.
Also, Glenn a literal millionaire 'journalist', who was just handed the story that made him rich, who lives in a gated mansion in Rio, overlooking the poors, claiming others don't have real perspective is the most *spider man pointing gif* shit ever.

The funniest part is all these same people were practically calling Pelosi a murderer bc she didn't take McConnell's awful pre-election offer. People needed relief immediately!

And now......we have no choice but to block the relief bill. People must suffer. It's the only way.

It wouldn't be a true David Sirota brain dropping (meltdown) without the extremely normal constant self martyrdom. You have no clue how much he has to suffer, but it is right & righteous, and he will bravely do it for you, the people. No one sacrifices more than David Sirota.

The thing about this is if you've paid attention to Glenn, he's been trying to make these RW Nazi figures more palatable to his audience for years now. It's why he only talks about the 'positive' things Tucker says. Of course, bc he is a coward, he almost never says it like this.
It is the most obvious thing on Earth. He will post endlessly about the bad of their opponent (ie. Macron) & only pull out the 'good' things that Nazis like Le Pen say. And then when you call him on his obvious preference for Le Pen (or Trump) he will get all, "HOW DARE YOU!!!!"
Anyway, remember when it was revealed that Steve Bannon had a contact at The Intercept and then everyone point the finger at the obvious culprit. And Glenn, knowing he was caught, didn't even deny it just got all indignant (and WHATABOUT his contacts at other outlets?).

It's hard to come to any other conclusion that the press corps just loves/d Trump.
Maybe I'm wrong, but can anyone remember this happening? I certainly can't.
Like, Donald Trump could not have done anything worse to fuck-up the pandemic if he was actively trying to murder ppl. And he's literally on tape saying, "I don't give a fuck. I'm covering that shit up for political purposes." And the media is still dying to give him credit. Wild

He is just so lazy. He doesn't even do a half-hearted check whether what he's saying is true before going on his trademark self-righteous attacks against his enemies. That's just how you do Bold, Adversarial journalism.
Reminds me of this Glem gem- when he went on a big righteous rant about MSNBC censoring the DOJ IG's testimony bc his good fried, Federalist Mollie said so. Couldn't even be bothered to flip on the TV to check.
