#JIMIN ‘s all time most legendary vocal on “FIX YOU ” a very important thread analysis
Let’s start , the first and foremost thing is “ FIX YOU “ might be one of the most emotional and personal song that’s been produced by the original artist itself and a lot of emotion went into making that original and trusting the boys with the cover knowing they authenticity of
The original will be kept throughout the way , they choose the right artist for it , #JIMIN ‘s vocal was so insane that whoever tuned into fell in love with his vocal , many media personality , singers , reactors , everyone got fluttered that moment they heard jimin’s verse
The most mindblowing thing about jimin for this cover is that he went out of his usual signature styles ( unique falsetto, or vocal fry that only he can pull off ) & showed us new vocal colors, texture and techniques as he sang by which shows how naturally diverse his range can be
Jimin’s voice is perfect for this particular verse of the song because it’s so light, delicate but still breathy, clean and crisp and gentle transitioning smoothly towards hi register up there, don’t know how can jimin sound like this with so much elements going on at the same time
and if you notice the song demands that gradual building up from lower to octave to higher and jimin exactly did that throughout the song still keeping the melody as intact as the original but he din’t sound too sharp none of the point even though he was singing with high
larynx positioned toning it down even at higher range is like an art without practice not many can do that, jimin has his own signature tone that’s it’s sometimes get harder to describe theoretically precise ,like he is aiming his notes to his higher larynx position
and soft palate goes to mid portioned dynamics so it’s sounds like nasal resonance , bright , yet smooth !! Though having nasal resonance or that ping to their sound is common for tenor “ vocal fach “ means vocal type There are so many words to even able to describe
Look at how he take breath ,His airy notes are so blending , adding airiness to your tone isn’t a register its more like aspirate phonation to add dynamics to a note , a brethy notes doesn’t mean one’s using more air to do it it means vocal folds are vibrating less in amount .
and the amazing thing is his chords vibrate faster naturally since he is used to sing high up in that range and while flaunting that breathy tone perfectly means he knows how to control the air flow rate to let that resonate with moderation to be able to have that intimate tone
to be honest breathiness can be added to any register from lower to higher , and dynamics like this always make a verse so much better , but you will see doing that in a most seamless manner as if it’s a natural element to his tonal quality yet he sound so clean
Loved how jimin slightly modified those vowels slowly when he goes “lights will ga_a_a_ide “ and “ig na_a_a_ite” , sounds so good because his vowels are always brighter rather than sounding closed or rounded, there not much space to modify it greatly but he did in a slight smooth
manner with ease & clear articulation because these also depends on different register transitions so which register one’s aiming to be consistent at also plays a role in modifying the vowels even if it’s slight modification or a greater one ,
another praise worthy thing is jimin’s english is so perfect even though it’s not his native language all of his wordings and pronunciation sounds so perfect because he is keeping his own element rather than trying to sound how a native speaker sound , truly admire that fact
things like this makes a lot of difference to have that originality to one’s individuality as an artist no matter which language they are using . And the duo is so nice because different tonal quality complimenting each other and due to jimin’s higher pitch you can still clearly
hear and separate the two voice so clearly because jimin’s larynx aimed towards that higher position
Jhope sound complimenting entire duo because he is going steady with his mid larynx position which is close to the speech of still have that slighter nasal resonance it rather
than a mouthy resonance building the verse , duo like this are masterpieces because it sounds to good the audiences and they can still clearly differentiate the two voices but blending well and complementing each other
Also one of the thing about “legato” in singing for those who wonder what that is ,many don’t mention it much because it’s the commonest used techniques among singers so it’s not frequently mentioned ,to be able to sing a smooth line one’s need to master legato in singing
It’s also so good for vocal folds because it reduces the tension in the vocal folds , it means smooth , connected or flowly or floating like when somebody says “wow that line sounds so flowly or smooth” means talking about legato ,legato in instrument like piano and guiter and
Singing sounds different , if any of you understand what staccato is then you will know what legato is because staccato is the opposite of it . in easy term staccato sounds like separated notes played with gaps in it while legato have no gaps and the whole note is connected
that’s why it sounds so smooth , to be honest legato sounds so beautiful to be able to sound smooth one have of let go of holding into consonant then only the line can sound so smooth , here in an example of staccato manner but true staccato can be really short sometimes
This is right here is an instrumental cresendo , see the gradual increase of volume , so when crescendo goes by during that periods the notes demands a gradual rise from soft to loud notes , these are basically dynamics , with the gradual instrumental crescendo
jimin’s tonal quality also rises from softer to loud , while performing this the sound never start from one’s already higher range ,
It depends on how one singer is placing his or her voice into the vocal pathway or track because the singer needs to slowly adjust the airt flow
at the level of vocal folds along the way to the vocal pathway & positioning of the larynx also the perception of where the sound sits along the vocal tract as the crescendo takes place . Well if it’s not done correctly then the sound might end sounding really sharp the reason
because many tends to lean on the larynx with too much pressure which create more sub- glottal pressue below the vocal folds , so as a whole the air flow rate , larynx position and where the sound is one gonna place along the vocal tract plays an important role in this while
also keeping the pitch consistent to be able to transition the notes smootly from softer to louder , jimin also absolutely nailed the part where he goes “Down your face “ he put so much power into that , jimin’s tone is so rich , loved it , he knows what he is doing
One very important thing about this verse that actually jimin can go a lot more higher then this or sound a lot more sharp while being on his higher range because he timbre rest goes much higher like towards countertenor, but sounding quiet or like giving that vibe that
he is still not loud even in his upper range is literally an art not many can do that 👏🏻, this solely depends on the continuos excercise of the chords to easily balance it off because not singing loud even in his upper range even though he actually can is just a whole technique
that’s been built up through many many sessions of practice it’s soo smooth that many wouldn’t have even notice he can sound less louder like this in his upper range if they din’t know how high he can go in his upper range , and jimin still sounding so natural as if he does that
a lot , just to keep the authenticity of the entire making of the song because the song demands that vibe. If you notice the entire song starts with a lower octave and kept builting up bit by bit from the begining to till this part and then at last again goes to lower octave,
While singing this verse jimin actually going into his mix rather than a pure head voice because if you listen carefully he still sounds so rich and warm even though he is on his upper range. To be honest mix register is the most widely used register in pop culture many many
singer uses it and it’s sound amazing rather than a pure chest or head voice, because what mix voice means a blending of both chest and head voice and it permits a singer to be able to sing up super high in their range while still being able to sound warm , rich
and full not sounding too light or sharp on that note. And what happens is thyroid muscles alignment works on this mix register , both the upward and downward muscles of thyroid work for this upper one goes for head voice and the lower one goes for chest voice and they camber
the larynx forward that’s how the singer able to richness with a higher pitch , means he is singing in the higher pitch but still with the fullness of chest voice , it’s the release of one’s hadvoice and fullness or that rich tonal quality of a chest voice coming and blending
together,cz head voice is the second highest register after the whistle register will always sound more light clean and co-ordinated without any airyness to it and if somebody leans more forward they can sound really really strong and it’s resonates upwards in the head part
with more nasal resosance. The person who put jimin and RM together on the verse while in the back the instrumental crescendo kept building in he or she is a genius , the way the compliment each other bringing two whole different vocal type together yet blending while RM is going
for the low seated larynx with a deeper undertone in his vocal & jimin going for high seated larynx or high positioned brighter & clean sound w/o any darker undertone and the texture of octave of two tone coming blending ,gorgeous just beyond gorgeous.
To be able to live in a world where you can see and hear jimin singing is like the biggest blessing on earth , his vocal agility is insane and so diverse , so beyond proud

Why #JIMIN ‘s vocal sounds so insanely high during telepathy harmony , an important thread
This has to be the jimin’s one of the most insane live vocal flex ever , this is the example of what you say seems effortless or which looks like someone doing something so insane w/o even trying too hard or showing too hard , him just sitting smile & showcasing one of the most
Insane live vocal ever , this right here him using a transition between “Flageolet” & “reinforced falsetto “ . That’s why he sounds so high especially the squeaky lengthening . Don’t confuse the term “reinforced falsetto” with just falsetto , they ain’t exactly the same
