I think it's legitimately impressive the way he describes these companies and their executives. If I wasn't in the know because I work in this industry, I can see myself potentially being swayed by the way he tells stories. But this is the worst kind of bullshit.

Some people might be wondering why I share stuff like this. Maybe I shouldn't be extending his reach. A lot of times I agree with that. But I also think there is value to learning to sniff out bullshit. That's a core skill that we need to be helping people develop.

It's okay to admit that you've been taken in by bullshit like this. We all have at one time or another. We love to be told great stories. We love to be optimistic.

But we can't continue to fall victim to lies and propaganda. We have to learn to see it clearly and reject it.

Of course he did. Because these places are trash! We *know* this. We have been getting reams of evidence to that effect for *years*. The only thing that's really interesting here is what it takes for a person to be this committed to *lying*.

Our commitment to lying is easily the most interesting thing about humans IMO. We have this incredible ability to fabricate realities from whole cloth and then go to our graves swearing it was real. That conviction it takes to do that is a superpower that I've never had.

This isn't just a morbid curiosity though. We have to understand what it takes to go far enough to cause this level of destruction. It's not something you can get through if you're legimately struggling with your conscience. You have to create a lie and live in it.
