Remember when Gen Honore said Michael Flynn should be called back to the Military and Court Martialed?
Broke last night that Trump's pardon freed up a DOJ investigation
-it is finished
-& the Army has it 'under consideration' now
Not a CM
2-"Defense Department’s internal watchdog has concluded a long-delayed investigation into Michael Flynn, defense officials said Friday, sending its findings to the Army in a case that could bring tens of thousands of dollars in financial penalties for Trump’s first [NSA]
3-"The investigation focuses on Flynn’s acceptance of money from Russian and Turkish interests before joining the Trump administration, a potential violation of the Constitution’s emoluments clause.
4-"With few exceptions, U.S. officials, including retired service members like Flynn, are prohibited from accepting money or gifts from foreign governments.
5-"The inspector general’s investigation, opened in April 2017, was put on hold for more than three years amid a broader scandal that included a criminal investigation of Flynn by the Justice Department — part of what would become the [Mueller Investigation]
6-"'On January 27, 2021, we closed our investigation against LTG Flynn and forwarded several administrative matters to the Acting Secretary of the Army for review and appropriate action,” Allen’s statement said. LTG stands for lieutenant general, Flynn’s rank at retirement.
7-"Transmission of the investigation to the Army, which has not been previously reported, leaves military officials grappling with how to handle a politically polarizing officer who in recent months alarmed the Pentagon by falsely suggesting to Trump that, as commander in chief,
8-"he could declare martial law and force a “rerun” of the presidential election in swing states that went for President Biden. Such a move could have plunged the nation into an unprecedented crisis
9-"Similar investigations of Trump administration officials have been released since the former president left office. Among them was a delayed Defense Department review that found retired Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson, a former White House doctor, had bullied staff,
10-"made inappropriate remarks about a female subordinate and engaged in “inappropriate conduct involving the use of alcohol” on two foreign presidential visits. Jackson, who is closely aligned with Trump, won a [GOP Cong] seat as a in Tx before the investigation was released.
11-"An Army spokeswoman, Col. Cathy Wilkinson, acknowledged that acting Army secretary John E. Whitley had received the case for review.“We do not have any additional information for you at this time,” Wilkinson said in an email on Friday" ~excerpts WaPo
*sorry that should be a 'DOD investigation"

WH COS Ron Klain told Punchbowl last night that the WH is considering Shalanda Young for OMB dir, saying Biden first wants to get her Senate confirmed as dep Dir, but that her name "is very much on that list"
Re the border situation, Klain said:
"..we inherited a real mess. We inherited the facilities we have. We are committed to a policy that follows the rule of law and that is humane.
"And we are doing our best to surge capacity to the border, particularly for these children who arrived here without parents, to house them in a way that is safe, to house them in a way that’s humane & help ultimately reunite them with either family they have in this country

Ron Johnson's latest from the Senate floor today:
Per Punchbowl:
"In an attempt to criticize the Democrats’ Covid bill, Johnson went to the Senate floor with a chart saying it would take 60,230 years to spend $1.9 trillion at $1 per second. That’s a long time.
"Johnson said humans only developed language about 50,000 years ago. Then there was a quick aside about how Wisconsin was covered with a mile of ice back then, although it melted. Johnson quipped, “Now that’s climate change."
"Then Johnson came back with a different chart that showed a stack of $1 trillion in dollar bills would be 67,886 miles high. Then Johnson talked about stacks of bills to the moon. It was a little confusing and we didn’t understand all of it.

In a rare move today House Dem leadership issued a pressing statement in support of Shalanda Young as new WH nominee for OMB director
This is a highly unusual hard press for the WH
-and if they don't name her will be a very serious snub of Dem House members
Statement: "As longtime Members of the Appropriations Committee, we take great pride in recommending Shalanda Young as Director of the Office of Management and Budget. We have worked closely with her for several years and highly recommend her for her intellect
"her deep expertise on the federal budget and her determination to ensure that our budget reflects our values as a nation. Her legislative prowess, extensive knowledge of federal agencies, incisive strategic mind and proven track record will be a tremendous asset to the

Chris Murphy (Senate Foreign Relations) on Biden's Syria strike:
“I have inherent trust in the national security decision making of President Biden, & I know how seriously he takes Congress's war making powers But Congress should hold this administration to the same standard
"it did prior administrations, and require clear legal justifications for military action, especially inside theaters like Syria, where Congress has not explicitly authorized any American military action.”
WH saying Biden informed Congressional leaders/relevant committees
in advance of the op. But since Biden ordered the strike “to defend U.S. personnel,” he didn’t need any additional authorization from Congress to act.

Readout from Biden's call to SA King Salman today doesn't mention Kashoggi, but human rights came up
Here: "President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. spoke today with King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia to address the longstanding partnership between the United States
"and Saudi Arabia. Together they discussed regional security, including the renewed diplomatic efforts led by the United Nations and the United States to end the war in Yemen, and the U.S. commitment to help Saudi Arabia defend its territory as it faces attacks from Iranian
"aligned groups. The President noted positively the recent release of several Saudi-American activists and Ms. Loujain al-Hathloul from custody, and affirmed the importance the United States places on universal human rights and the rule of law.

Here's more on Anthony Aguero, a conservative livestreamer, activist and 'close' associate of Marjorie Taylor Greene's who was in the mob on 1/6 & said (counter the MTG's claims) that 'it was NOT Antifa'
She really needs to close her mouth…
2-Per @KFILE : "'We were all there. It was not Antifa and it was not BLM. It was Trump supporters that did that yesterday. I'm the first to admit it, being one myself,' said Aguero in a video posted on January 7.
3-"'I walked amongst all those people,' he added, later defending entering the Capitol.
Greene and Aguero have worked closely together over the years on causes such as immigration and the border wall and have attended pro-Trump rallies together.
