.@DrEricDing tried to raise the B117 alarm in early Florida, saying it would "overtake" Florida by March 8. Although it is possible that B117 is, indeed, the dominant strain in Florida right now, his implication was that this would be VERY BAD.

Cases have plummeted since the peak in early January
CLI (percentage of emergency room visits for COVID-like symptoms) has declined steadily since its peak on January 3
Hospitalizations peaked around January 12 and are also steadily declining.
Keep all of this in mind when people try to scare you about variants...
Variants are the only scare tactic they have left.
