It’s been six weeks since the Myanmar coup. Despite deaths, violence by security forces, internet shutdowns and night raids, demonstrators brave the streets. This was Hledan, Yangon, last night ✊

For the 31st night in a row the internet has been cut in Myanmar. That, and cell networks have now been offline for two days - @netblocks reports. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

This woman was beaten and forced to crawl on her knees by Myanmar security forces yesterday, in Yangon.

This was a Myanmar Police officer responsible for this horrid behaviour. It's fairly clear from the uniform insignia, which matches the video footage (above 👆) of him beating and degrading this woman in Yangon. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar #MyanmarPoliceBrutality

In fact, we can get a little more clear here than just Myanmar Police. This was an officer wearing the insignia of the "Lon Htein riot police".

Myanmar police really don't like CCTV cameras. I guess when they're responsible for killing, looting and destruction, they don't want any evidence of that. /11
