Today, I am excited to announce some incredible endorsements that speak to the coalition of support -- from North to South -- that this campaign is building.
I am humbled to earn their support, and I am eager to continue hearing from people from all across this City.
License Collector Mavis Thompson is saying YES to Saint Louis and is joining #TeamTJ!
I look forward to working with the strong, city-wide Black women who serve the City of Saint Louis! #WinWithBlackWomen
Representative Marlon Anderson is joining #TeamTJ and the Representatives serving the vast majority of this City who have already endorsed this campaign.
I look forward to working with those in the state legislature to move our City, Region, and State forward.
We need leadership who can work with the Aldermen to get things done swiftly. I look forward to building coalitions at the Board and making our City a better place to live for all.
I'm ready to bring us together. Join #TeamTJ in this campaign for a new Saint Louis now!
So, to the single mother struggling to make ends meet,
to the LGBT+ youth wondering if Saint Louis is a home for them, and to anyone who has felt like your government has forgotten you and left you behind, I see you and I’m ready to serve. #TeamTJ
I plan on replacing the Public Safety Director.
I respect Judge Edwards, but it's time for a new direction.
We'll put the public back in public safety, we'll make sure that police aren't the only response when you call 9-1-1, and we'll lead with prevention-first.
At a time when there are national calls to defund the police and redistribute resources in a way that values black lives, now is not the time to be divisive. While we often disagree with the people we serve, we can do so without being disagreeable. 1/
It was irresponsible for the Mayor to publicize the names and addresses of her constituents, who were exercising their constitutional right to free speech and to petition their government. 2/
The Mayor’s actions not only endanger her citizens, it is also reckless. The timing of her disclosure is ironically the day before an alt-right/KKK rally in our city. 3/
