On Saturday an event was held in support of @BristolUni
Professor #DavidMiller.

It was organised by Labour Against the Witch Hunt, the same group that organised the event Miller made his comments at a month ago.

Here are some quotes from that meeting:

Matt Kennard: "David Miller is the front line now but as many people have said it's never going to stop with David Miller, it didn't start with David Miller, he's the latest target. They go down a line and it's about Palestine & Israel it's not about antisemitism"

Jonathan Cook: "The problem is that those who are offended are unwilling to examine their investment in the act of taking offence."

Ghada Karmi:

"Jews have been persuaded, coerced, I don't know what, into absorbing Zionism as a part of their own identities"

Identity politics is at the heart of anti racism. Except for Jews apparently for it appears that their identities are politically wrong.

This is Ian Donovan of Socialist Fight a Trotskyite sub group of the left.

He asked a question of the group and claimed to be a member of the campaign, of Williamson and Miller's Arise group and of Socialist Fight

Here's an extract from an article Donovan wrote (it's about Jews being rich & powerful)

The Jewish News reported that Socialist Fight were kicked out of LAW in 2018. Apparently they were allowed back in...jewishnews.timesofisrael.com/socialist-grou…

The person behind LAW is Tina Werkmann. Here she laments the "campaign spreading into wider society".

"This is an all out war against the left" she says.

Jonathan Cook laments:

"The problem is Zionist Jews have absorbed Israel into their identity"

Rock legend Roger Waters was on hand to offer solidarity attacked the @BBC's "appalling descent into becoming "a mouthpiece for right wing stuff and pro Israel lobby stuff" and attacked "the Blair clone @Keir_Starmer"

Last night Brian Eno and Roger Waters spoke with some friends about antisemitism and Palestine.

It's probably fair to say they are concerned. But what about? Israeli Apartheid?

Sort of...

Eno says: "The pretext upon which we're all attacked for our interest in Palestinians is antisemitism..."

"If anything is going to inspire antisemitism it's this type of behaviour by the Israeli govt"

"It's crying wolf"

Roger Waters: "The antisemitism smear sword that was wielded at the behest of the Israeli govt specifically aimed at Jeremy Corbyn because he was left wing and he might turn into a political leader on the left who would actually stand up for human rights..."

Last weekend Hizb ut Tahrir organised a meeting to discuss the only thing they ever discuss...

The only two things anyone seems clear about regarding a Caliphate is that Islamic State did it wrong and that the real one will destroy Israel.

Asrar Rashid complains of ISIS:

"They never even lobbied a grenade into occupied Palestine, so called Israel"

According to Wahid the occupation of Palestine is "Arguably the worst colonial plan and colonial institution in the Muslim world today"

Perhaps he doesn't think of Russian & Iranian occupation of Syria in colonial terms.

On Thursday an event took place defending @BristolUni Prof David Miller. Arguments were made that there is a principle of academic freedom involved. Speakers agreed that the Jewish students may have been right to be upset but that Miller shouldn't face censure for his comments.

Perhaps the most striking depiction of the trap set for Jewish students is laid out by Tom Mills.

Jewish students can speak out...but if media and politicians take an interest that's something else entirely...he's concerned about "conservative political interests"

The other day Hastings and Rye Palestine Solidarity Campaign hosted Asa Winstanley and Jonathan Cooke to discuss "Propaganda, Censorship and the Israel lobby"

Find out about Israel's "troll army" and why @DavidHirsh is "poisonous"

Cooke is helpful in that he defines just who he thinks the Israel lobby actually are. Hint it's a bunch of Jewish charities mainly

And by the way "we talk a lot about Vladimir Putin and troll armies well Israel..."
