(1) Misleading FT article putting pressure on the HK Govt - does NOT mention that (a) the expats who are customers at the gym at the centre of the fast spreading Covid cluster ignored rules which others in the sector followed, making other gyms pay for their selfish acts
(2) (b) many children in HK have been quarantined (accompanied by parents or minders, with arrangements made on a case-by-case basis) & the quarantine centres are safe, clean & equipped with enough facilities & food is provided for free & requests can be made for special needs
(3) all that's required is a phone call or whatsapp message to the staff on duty (c) NOBODY should have any privileges - everyone should be treated equally - this is not some fxxking colony (d) to suggest that some kind of int'l finance body should decide how the HK Govt should
(5) handle Covid is a joke & an insult - finance industry people shouldn't decide how a pandemic should be handled - HK's epidemic control decisions are made by HK Govt leaders based on a medical expert panel with highly specialised knowledge & professional experience, which have
(6) so far prevented massive (e) no one is indispensible - people have a right to find some of the requirements "too tough" for them & may wish to be able to roam around a community even after they are tested positive for Covid- they are head for other cities which allow visitors
(7) to do so- HK won't ignore public health risks just to "please some expats to beg them to stay" - in reality, many expats I know are reluctant to leave their well-paid jobs & low tax rates - should some decide to leave, they can be replaced by talents from mainland China
