Really good article on importance of having a clear investing framework that suits your strengths/goals, thinking about your edge (analytical, behavioral), and having clarity on the types of situations you're investing in.
It's not about agreeing with all the pts someone else lists. It's about checking which ones apply for you and can help improve your process.
“How will this business look like in 5, 10 or more years?” is such an important question to ask for long-term investors in individual businesses, instead of obsessing over the small beats/misses during the quarterly results (as long as they are directionally strong/stable).
It forces one to think more about the products, quality, Mgmt, growth, their customers/competitors and the overall trends.
Even if future is inherently unpredictable, taking a more 360deg view of the analysis and stretching our time horizon will be an advantage.

✔️Have some cash (or can favorably raise it) to buy bargains in good Co's during these periods.
