#Hivemind:what are different styles of mtgs to accomplish specific outcomes?
I’ll go first.
Huddle: 15 minutes on 1 topic for quick progress check/align who’s on first or communicate new nuance on the strategy. Standing up pre covid, probably best via phone call right now.
Brainstorm: 30/45/60 minute session on a specific topic via zoom with a prepared Jamboard. (One jam page for the challenges/problems/factors, one for solutions/ideas and one parking lot.) Begin and end Mtg with a specific question you need to answer.
Size limit: 8-10 people.
Touch base: 30 minute Mtg with a group or constituency solely for checking in on the status of a project, community, or topic. Via zoom video. Agenda: welcome, where are we, anticipated upcoming changes/developments, new help needed, next steps. Parking lot things off topic.
Virtual coffee/happy hour: community connection with no specific topic. V important constraints: max 8 people via zoom, 30-45 minute time limit (strict), broadcast low level Spotify playlist via your desktop (“#UIAsummit walk on music” is my go to), & possibly add Jackbox game.
“Meeting”: 30/45/60 min, size dependent on topic, sole purpose =communication + updating different areas. Zoom video. Agenda: update on important topics, then “what other people/areas need to know since last time by division, what’s next.
(Mostly awkward & could be an email.)
