Twitter's refusal to stop this horrible crime taking place on its own website looks delibate, considering—well, just look: thenextweb.com/socialmedia/20…
This is not just the opinion of a few people. Russia has threatened to block Twitter if they don't "take steps to remove banned content," including ch!ld po4n: msn.com/en-us/news/tec…
Twitter's *policy* on child sexual exploitation looks all right. Too bad they failed to enforce it.
This case is getting headlines because it concerns Americans with legal representation who made noise. But what about—just for example—Filipino children? Haven't heard about them, eh? Of course not. But every one of them is as important as the American.
I would argue that if they assert ownership/control over our tweets—as they do—then Twitter has a special obligation to help. But they've been failing to police ch!ld prn0graphy since at least 2012.
But wait! One account that shared the well-known but disturbing public domain pictures of President Biden feeling up kids in public (no nudity) got blocked for violating the "Child Sexual Exploitation Policy."
I mean, it's a fair question. If companies are pressured to cancel/block content for racially insensitive depictions of people, for criticizing trans ideology, for being by Clarence Thomas during Black History Month, for being a conservative forum, etc., then why *not* cancel...

Australia's ABC ordered journalists not to refer to child rapists as "pedophiles," because that would hurt the feelings of pedophiles. Never mind that pedophiles are evil (see larrysanger.org/2019/12/why-pe…).
See, the ABC policymakers figure pedophiles might not actually rape children. So you wouldn't want to create an implication of guilt by association.
Never mind that pedophiles *want* to rape children.
It would like an edgy trend of wanting to rape women...without actually, you know raping women. How *dare* you call the rapeophiles rapists? They're just rapeophiles! How insensitive! Don't you know how hard it is to be a rapeophile today?!
The responses to this tweet from a senator are chilling. Democrats really, really mean it when they say they loathe Republicans. Apparently, Republicans want minorities dead, are Nazis, and are not the equals of Dems. You can’t be friends with them, period...
Hi there @Chase Bank, do you realize that when you cut off the business of some company due to their political affiliation, you are alienating everyone that shares that affiliation? Surely you know this hurts your business. You know? Mkay then. | via startthis.org/?p=354
1/ I bought a baby grand piano over the weekend for $650. This is kind of an interesting story. First, here’s the piano. Was played on daily in a music school for 7 years. Tuned yearly, looks good and sounds well. Built around 1980. | origin: startthis.org/?p=290
