I normally wouldn't share something so personal on Twitter but this needs to be heard, and not just for my family.

My 36-wks-pregnant DIL was admitted to hosp 90 min ago w/pre-eclampsia. Obv there's a good chance she'll have to deliver soon. Yet my son can't go in. They've both

..had COVID and it's documented. Even so, she's laying there waiting on medical tests etc. all alone, and my son's at the house, sick with worry. There is no reason he cannot be there. They have COVID protocols. Partners are able to be there for birth anyway. Let him in now.

Expectant parents shouldn't have to face these things alone. In the case of my kids, they lost their 1st baby to miscarriage during this pandemic and she had to go through all of those procedures alone. It's not right.

Great news - thank you to all who prayed for us. Baby isn't in distress and they got the BP under control so she is being discharged to monitor at home. They only live 5 min from the hospital so they can get there fast if anything happens. I'm a happy momma now!
