Happy Saint Patrick's Day.

Patrick was not actually Irish.
He was stollen as a young boy from Britain, and sold to a Druid in Ireland.
In Ireland, he was a shepherd boy.
On the Hills of Ireland, he found the true God.
While on the hills of Ireland, Patrick came to know the great love of God, and God spoke to him just like how God spoke to David when he was a shepherd boy.

One day God told him how to escape his slavery, and told him to go back home to his family.
St Patrick returned home to his family, and I believe became instructed in the faith of Christ. (he was a non-believer when he was first abducted)

One night, he had a dream that the people of Ireland were begging him to come back to Ireland and tell him about Jesus.
So against all common sense, and in the faith that God would protect him, he returned to Ireland...to tell them about Jesus.

He suffered many things, but God always protected him.

One of my favorite stories is the one about his Bell.
*tell them about Jesus

Evening verse of the day:

"The Joy of the Lord is your strength".

What is the source of your exhaustion?

I have to admit that I was exhausted today, even after having a good nights sleep.
I was so exhausted that after my morning bath, I lay down to pray, and slept for almost 4 hours.

And this after having a good night's sleep.

I admitted to my husband and myself, that I haven't had much joy lately.

Joy is deeper than happiness.
How do you get joy?
You can't create joy within you.
It must come from the Lord.

You have to wait on the Lord for it.
Waiting is both passive and active.

This morning, I was thinking of people in need. Real need.

Tonight, if I am still here,I may tell the story of the time when the Holy Spirit spoke to me the second time (years ago)

I was asking for guidance, and assurance.
He directed me to 2 verses.
It was the answer I needed
Jesus said, Love yr neighbor as yourself.
"Who is my neighbor?" they asked.

He told the story about the good Samaritan.
Someone who had compassion on a stranger.
Scripture warns us about bestowing a verbal blessing on someone...and sending them away hungry.

That is equivalent to an insult.

Jesus hated hypocrisy.

As should we.

I was going to talk about hearing God's voice later, but since I can't depend on being here from minute to minute, I will talk about it now

When I thought about it earlier, and how I would present it, the Holy Spirit reminded me of this.
"To whom much is given, much is required"
So I begin with a warning.
If you beg to hear God's Voice.
And you want more.
He will require more of you.
It is not always convenient.
There are times that God would give me a message, and I didn't want to speak for Him.
I knew it often made me look a bit crazy.
And sometimes I wanted to look normal.

So there is your warning. :)

A lot of friends are staying low in the foxhole.

I don't know how long I will be here, but I was remembering a family devotion my husband did with the kids when they were young.
It was an example about saying goodbye.

My husband told the kids "if I was going away..
My husband said "If I was going away...would the last thing that I told you would be take out the garbage?"

He was talking about Jesus going back to the Father.
The last message Jesus gave His followers was much more important.
Can be found in book of Mark.
"Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to all creation".
These signs will follow those who believe...

I waited patiently.
When I was in the horrible pit.
He heard my cry, and brought me out.
And set my feet upon a rock.
And put a new song in my heart. Image
Months ago, the Holy Spirit said to me.
"Are you willing to sit in the horrible pit for awhile, so that you can have a new song in your heart?"

This was also many months after the HS started asking me a disquieting question. He would ask, "Do you trust me?"
If you think that being in the high places, and riding high means that you are in the will of God, you might be sadly mistaken.

Sometimes we have to sit in the horrible pit.
God still loves us, and has not abandoned us there.

I had a few Christmas stories that I thought of telling.
I thought of the one about Rocky de Blood with a Teardrop, a homeless lady that my husband picked up on the on-ramp.

Or the story about the Miracle Christmas.

But I think instead I will talk about my Quantum Christmas 🎄
In 2017, I was feeling dejected that our old tradition of getting a Christmas tree for our wedding anniversary was once again forgotten.
We really had so few traditions, that I considered it important.
In practicality, there wasn't room for a tree.
I decided to buy some large tropical plants instead. And decorate them.
But God had something better for me...which would teach me something I never knew before.
He was going to teach me Quantum Praying.
