And then when you're finally ready to come out, the changes you want to make to the way you present yourself feel horrifyingly overdue. They might seem sudden to an outside observer, but they've been building in your head for decades.
Here is a list of people I told I thought I might be trans before I was 28 years old:
1) my high school girlfriend
2) my parents, who still claim I said nothing
3) my best friend, when I was extremely drunk

By the way, since "Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria" is entirely based on parents being like "my kid never said anything to me and then suddenly they're trans," I think it's instructive that I DID say something and they erased it from their memories. They didn't want to hear it!
The only thing that ROGD proves is that most parents don't know their children nearly as well as they think and that makes them uncomfortable.
The other reason that people saying Elliott Page is “the model for rapid-onset gender dysphoria” sound stupid is that there is literally photographic evidence that they’re completely full of shit. 
Elliott Page came out as trans and then showed up three months later with a new haircut and there y'all are out here being like "seems like he's moving kind of fast, doesn't it?" 🤡
