Get to the bottom of this and you get to the bottom of a lot about the disinformation campaign that has been inflicted on Americans for the last few years.
Why do you think an influential Facebook board member might be interested in meeting with people affiliated with a "population control" lobbying network that focuses on immigration to bring about its end goal - a reduced U.S. population with a "Euro-American majority" in control?
Not to mention, an influential board member who actively argues against fact checking on a site riddled with intentionally harmful disinfo, and who owns a company that sells surveillance technology to border agencies... and other agencies, too.
Probably just a coincidence

I mean, I'm pretty sure I said that from the get-go. The tell is that they didn't even consider bringing me or any of the other people publicly criticizing them. That means that's not what they are interested in.
Plus, they have a long history of trying to outsource the blame. The "crisis PR" quote is mine btw fastcompany.com/90281553/repor…
Ethnic studies and critical race theory are among the #TantonNetwork targets, as one might expect from a white supremacist "population control" group that disguises itself as anti-immigration. They've been trying this tired old schtick for decades.
"Rather, the bills–which legislators have discussed or introduced in at least 11 states–are the fruits of a concerted political strategy seeded by the far-right group Federation for American Immigration Reform...."
By the way, "incels" is just another name for "misogynists." If someone is murdering women simply out of hate for women, it's called "feminicide," or sometimes "femicide." We gain nothing by giving murderers and their motivations new names.

I did a story about this and spent months researching it. I love that whole region very much. But unearthing this history, of which I previously had known nothing, was absolutely shocking — the history itself but also how little I could find about it jstor.org/stable/2638496…
