Honestly speaking,if it was some other actress in the leading role here,the movie would have been criticised by RW for minority appeasement and overt display of secularism 😁
Don't remember a last Bollywood movie which shows Muslims in such good light 🤷‍♂️
On similar lines, if there was any other leading actress, LW would have celebrated the movie for breaking the traditional (widow not going to Kashi), daughter in law not following diktat of mother in law, husband wearing Kangans, and such.

Woke gen would have celebrated it 🚀
Uff, and the movie, by virtue of a dialogue, reminded me of the Amir Khan - Mangal Pandey. I don't remember watching that movie in full, but have strong memories of hearing the different versions of Mangal Mangal on loop - guess one by Sukhwinder & one by Kailash Kher 🚩

What's Tableeghi Jamat?

It is a sub-sect of Sunni Muslims, started in Mewat, an offshoot of Deobandi Muslims.

It believes in preaching through extensive traveling - on weekly, monthly and yearly basis.

These tours are called Jamat - duration ranges from 3/10/40/120 days.
Traveling is literally a self discovery kind of ideology. They preach only to Muslims who follow Tableegh or to attract more towards Tableegh. They don't indulge in religious conversions - moot point of difference between Tableegh (inwards) vs Zakir Naik (to others).
Depending on days and experience, destination is chosen - Mumbai Central Jamat will go to Andheri, Bandra to Thane - you get the point?

For 3/10 - travel is mostly intra-city or max inter-village.

For 40/120 days - it can be inter city or inter state.

Completely self funded.

Media persons are doing the worst form of disservice to the Muslim community. The kind of fear-mongering media is engaging in, is only being propelled further by WhatsApp, resulting in an unnecessary panic to even those who have absolutely nothing to worry about.
Not sure if I have mentioned earlier. A family friend had actually taken a few days of leave last month to have an audit of his personal documents.

What's the joke?

Well, he is a government servant, associated with defense services; all brothers in government bodies.
He visited our place last month and was so tensed. I ended up laughing and suggested him to throw away his mobile phone.

Well, if this is the state of WhatsApp connected middle class Muslim, working in government sector; imagine the plight of those who are unemployed!
