If you feel like entering on a study of #functionalProgramming, @EricNormand 's Grokking Simplicity (from Manning) is really good.
manning.com/books/grokking…
Since the time it became available as an early-access book in August 2019, I’ve been working through it (and providing him lots of feedback).
It shows how—and why—to do functional programming, using really basic JavaScript as a demo language: no Lisp, no Haskell, no Erlang.

(Well, he mentions they exist.)
When he told us that he had cut back on the content for the book to keep the size down, I was disappointed, but not any more:
he has packed a lot of helpful information into it in a way that is worth diving into (and very accessible).
I've been using #clojure for nearly 13 years now, and this still taught me a great deal.
(I hope I won't some day find that I've been writing COBOL in #Clojure all this time.)
It may be as influential on my work as the day in 1994 when I picked up the GoF's brand-new Design Patterns for the first time.
Perhaps working out through mentoring now like this did back in 1995

Using @RoamResearch to reflect on days gone by. Like many, I have a [[Daily Practices]] entry in the template I use (thanks, @text_blaze). Or I *did* have one. #roamcult
Now, my [[Daily Practices]] entry is a {{[[∆]]:1+1}} "delta" entry: it moved to the next day (the first "1") after I created it, and hops ahead one day (the "+1") every day thereafter (leaving a trail of references behind it. New @RoamResearch magic. #roamcult
And in these [[Daily Practices]] I have
Review [[Quick Capture]] #Reviewed

This lets me open Quick-Capture mentions in the sidebar. I then use the filter to exclude the #Reviewed ones, and see what I've added from the mobile app. #roamcult
