3, This is like you put money in the bank, that money is used to lend and pay the interests for the lender or like insurance companies use money of the majority to pay for a few when accidents happen. Pools will be used to do whatever the projects tend to do.

#AMMs: Instead of making a trade P2P like on order book. AMMs allow users to make a trade directly with a pool. You put assets in and take back others assets in pools.

5, #Staking: The same provides internal liquidity. Users deposit token to pool inside the protocol and the protocol use it for relating jobs like stake ETH in Ethereum 2.0 to improve security or stake SOL in Solana to become validator
6, #Lending/borrowing: The idea behind is to make a place that stores assets (pools) so that users can borrow/lend directly. Interest rates depend on demand/supply, beside that collateral are also deposited to pools to protect lenders assets.

16, Serum allows to customize pools and it will create flexibility for products in the ecosystem but at the moment, Serum eco still missing some KEY WORDS of DeFi and the projects developed on pools still not really decentralized.
17, But in overall with the major success of DeFi hackathon recently and one of the most dedicated and hard-working teams in the space. I’m really looking forward to the future ahead.
