what’s happening in kassel, germany? lets talk about it. #k2003
[a long thread]
ever since the lockdown started, conservatives, neo nazis etc have been speaking against it. most of them saying how it takes away their freedom, how masks dont solve anything and some of them even go as far as believing the virus is something the government made up
and just put conspiracy theories out there in general.
they have called our government facist, that they have been using the virus as an excuse to silence us etc.
these anti-maskers have also started protest against the current rules and laws.
most of these protests so far have been legal, so they were obviously impossible to stop. during one of those demonstration they also tried to storm the parlament building, luckily they weren’t successful doing so.
now what exactly is happening in #Kassel ?
thousands of people have started an illegal protest against the lockdown, while not wearing their masks or keeping the distance of 1.5 meters.
an important information to add on here is that protests legally are allowed if they have a max amount of 6000 people where everybody wears their mask and keeps the 1.5 meter distance as good as possible.
now at the protest in kassel there were over 10.000 people protesting, not wearing a mask or keeping the save distance.
at the start of the protest, the police didnt really do anything to stop it or contain the people protesting. actually, the police pushed away and almost beat the people off the streets that tried to stop the protest.
now, the police have started to use pepper spray and other stuff to try and contain the people protesting, thank god.
most of the protesters came with their children, to use them as protecting from the police, which is just equally as sick as protesting in the first place.
now why does everybody still have a problem with the police?
knowing the german police, if this was a protest for a good cause happening during this time(like blm), the police would‘ve done anything to stop that protest. but since its conservatives protesting its okay?
this stuff is also one of the big reasons why germany is failing so miserably at stopping the virus.
protests like these, people refusing to wear masks, people being so extremely anti-vaccine, some even refuse to get tested if they have symptoms.
me, and so many other germans, are hopeless at this point. not knowing what to do anymore. i‘m begging for more people to talk about this, to spread awareness about it.
i‘ll be adding on to this thread the more updates and information i‘ll find
another video showing how big this protest is.. no mask in sight
apparently the numbers went up from 10k people to TWENTY THOUSAND people protesting. i‘m sick
here a woman saying, and i quote „with baby please in the first row when we‘re gonna storm the police chain. that‘s gonna get us views when they’ll beat up a woman with baby“ i‘m actually feeling sick
those are children being praised on by adults for talking about something they have NO IDEA about.
the police have stopped trying to contain the protest. they‘re just standing there and watching, while thousand of people are marching through the city
// antisemitism

i genuinely have no words for this.
police claiming to be neutral but then posing with anti-maskers demonstrators
