My day was awesome yesterday. Hosted our Linkedin Profile review session with @MaryseAnalyse & @tu_babs for @DataTechSpace fam & others outside DTS. @wbezeani was awesome with the notes @sustainablyally did amazing with answering some questions as you’ll see in this THREAD.

1/10
Some notes from @wbezeani

Thanks to insights from my not-so-humble self, @maryseanalyse & @tu_babs

1. A Profile banner makes you stand out right away
2. Let people know simply what you’re about in the header
3. The "About" section should be more personal and authentic

2/10
4. "Interviews are like acting." Play your part well
5. Personal branding is vital & @canva should be your best friend for that
6. For Work Experience,
Quantify what you’ve done. Show how you solved a problem, what tools used & the results (e.g percentages, numbers etc.)

A: I just mute them - @sustainablyally

Lol. I smiled when I saw your response @sustainablyally cos I do the same too.

8/10
Q: How can I edit my banner on LinkedIn?

A: Go to your profile and the banner should have a pencil option to edit it. From there you can change the picture. - @sustainablyally

Lowkey. I just got another LinkedIn connection from the Co-founder of a global tech company whose software is being used in over 150 countries and 30,000 organizations. Of course, I’ve accepted the request 💕. Use your LinkedIn well if you’re serious about career advancement 📈. Image
LinkedIn should be your priority if you’re a professional. Forget Twitter and Instagram. Check my @LinkedIn profile activity, you’ll see I comment and post every other day. Well, enough said. Watch out for info on the video from @DataTechSpace LinkedIn session last weekend.

There’s something called simple courtesy & I believe we were all taught growing up. The email below is not it. If you ever send such an email to any of the volunteers for @DataTechSpace like this person did, they might be inclined to respond to you but I’ve just told them... Image
...to air such emails. Firstly, I don’t and will NEVER charge people money to be a part of @DataTechSpace majorly for reasons like this. Below are emails from people in similar situations as our friend above and we resolved their issues within 24-48 hours. ImageImage
In case y’all were wondering, all the membership emails & discord invites come from me. It takes me ~5 hours each intake cycle before/after @MrsLUU1 & @jenkf_ carry out the verification. Thankfully all that is semi-automated now. Same reason we only accept folks into DTS monthly.
