We will operate both of our aircraft carriers, procuring more F-35B jets and new support shipping. Our transformation programme will cut our headquarters to focus on the front line, driving global availability and making the lives of those deployed more stable. #ThreadTweet

Retiring two older Type 23 frigates and the Fort Rosalie RFA ships will enable new classes to enter service more quickly. By the early 2030s our ambition is to have up to 24 frigates & destroyers. Our growing fleet will be increasingly forward based around the world.#ThreadTweet

To support #GlobalBritain we will build on our #ForwardPresence in the Caribbean and the Falkland Islands: An OPV will be forward based in Gibraltar to operate in the Mediterranean and West Africa. We will forward base OPVs in the Indo Pacific. #ThreadTweet

Our fleet will become more automated and lethal. We will replace the Harpoon ship-to-ship missile and increase our Sea Viper anti-air missile stocks. We will start to replace our crewed minehunting ships with drones that find mines 5-10 times faster. #ThreadTweet

Our @RoyalMarines will become more lethal, equipped with more technology and working more closely with the Special Forces and Intelligence Agencies. They will be more globally deployed, with a Littoral Response Group operating in Northern Europe and another in the Indian Ocean.
