It was great to be able to connect to the #E2#EducationExchange with @MicrosoftEDU today, albeit feeling completely under the weather, drinking honey and lemon! Lots of fantastic tips provided by a range of #MIEExpert practitioners from all over the world...
Breakout rooms in @MicrosoftTeams is a great way of providing learners the opportunity to work in smaller groups whilst learning remotely or for your colleagues to work as part of a PLC. #E2Everywhere
Immersive reader is an absolute must for learners to ensure equity for all!
#MIEExpert Ed Tip #3 showcased how the calendar can be used effectively alongside assignments in Teams. A huge thank you to @MissGEnrique for sharing her top tips for using this tool (including saving time for teachers - an absolute must!)
🎤 Mic only mode
🎥 Screen sharing for presentations
And my ultimate favourite idea...📸 Stop motion animation (What a great idea!)
#MIEExpert Ed Tip #5 came from Head Girl Sheikha Al Sulati who demonstrated the power of PowerPoint live!
Another great example of how PowerPoint can be used to ensure that everybody can access what you are presenting using closed captions! A top tip!
#MIEExpert Ed Tip #6 came all the way from Australia from @MrsKK8 and @pegfitz101 showcasing the power of 'Editor in Word', your one stop shop for checking over spelling, grammar and a whole host of other useful tools! Well worth checking this one out!
#MIEExpert Ed Tip #7 looks at how @MSMakeCode can be an incredible tool for critical thinking and creativity in the classroom. Here @stulowe80 demonstrates a few simple uses of MakeCode using @microbit_edu as the tool for making things move! Loved this! 👾
#MIEExpert Ed Tip #8 was presented by @PelletierASDE who showed us the power of the built in Immersive Reader within all Microsoft apps and now in Edge. Simply highlight the text you want to read, right click and hit immersive reader! Translate to multiple languages too! 📣
#MIEExpert Ed Tip #9 again highlights the power and use of Forms. @cybersavvygirl again showing how immersive reader can be used within forms AND how it can also give question examples and can also be used effectively for Math quizzing too! 📝
#MIEExpert Ed Tip #10 explored how educators can give feedback quickly in Teams. Some great examples of using the different praise badges to provide quick feedback from @Mishkaah13
Side note - I would 💯 recommend giving @justmoteHQ a look for providing feedback in Teams too!
